INTRODUCTION
The term business communication is defined as the process of sharing information among
all organisation. Communication assist an organisation to promote and sell their product in
society by influencing customer's. It leads them to achieve commercial benefits by formulating
effective strategy in completion of their work. Communication work as a process in which two or
more persons interact with each other for exchange of information, ideas and share. The
organisation chosen for this task is sport love which is an independent London sports business.
This project highlights on purpose and principle of communication strategy (Novik and
Podgórecki, 2015). Along with these characteristic and of effective listeners and speakers are
written. At last strength and weaknesses and some improvements to build an effective
communication will also be discuss in this report.
TASK 2
1. Principle and purpose of HR that need to be consider in communication strategy
Communication is an effective and preferred method for successfully running in an
organisation. In present scenario communication is a key for organisational success whether they
are small or multi-national organisation. Communication strategy refers to a plan that is
organised by organisation to complete their work within specified time period. The main agenda
to implement them in operations is to gain competitive advantage in market. For this there are
some principles that provides effectively communication strategy to organisation are as follow:
Clarity- Communication need to be clear or transparent for all participants who are
engage in organisational activities. In context of sport love HR manager need to clear all goals so
it is easy for recipient to interpret what sender really wants to communicate. While sender need
to focus on keep clear their words from expression and indistinctness.
Completeness- Communication is a method through which management of sport love
complete their work with more efficiency and effectiveness. It determines that sender need to
complete the message through all information which is required by receiver (Fogel, 2017). Along
with it represent written communication is not complete without completion of message.
Conciseness- A manager is responsible to implement an effective communication
channel. Conciseness represent precisely what the sender need to declare in minimum words. For
sport love it is more beneficial because it helps to save time for both sender as well as receiver.

Concreteness- Concreteness refers to become distinct, unique and creative instead of
vague or normal. In simple words it is explanation of message with facts so that receiver easily
translate the message. This is most beneficial method for written communication.
Courtesy- Communication is a key of successful organisation therefore it is necessary for
sport love to organise this effectively. Courtesy is a way to interact with other person in an
appropriate manner (Canale, 2014). Example- Genuine and tactful interaction impacts positively
on clients of sports love due to which they retain membership for longer period.
Correctness- The process of correctness undertakes several aspect such as grammar and
punctuation. This governs correctness of communication implements effective vocabulary in
organisation because of this healthy relationship will take place between staff and clients.
Further some purpose of effective communication strategy that develop the way of
interaction within staff and management are mention as follow:
Flow of information- This is mandatory for organisation that relevant and reliable
information flow continuously from top to bottom and vice-versa. With implementation of easy
flow of information employee's, staff and management this method leads sport love to achieve
their organisational goals and objectives.
Information spread in organisation with fast and fluent information leads management of
sport love to incumbent essential for better understanding of words.
Due to effective communication channel sometimes rumours and mislead information is
also communicated in organisation. So organisation need to avoid difficult and complex
words.
Coordination- Communication is the basic and best way through which an organisation
coordinated between all departments of organisation. So this is easy for them to deliver their
product and service within particular time frame (Matos Marques Simoes and Esposito, 2014).
Moreover coordination between personnel's is a key through which effective communication is
executed within organisation.
Coordination is an important tool for management as it helps them to accept changes in
policies, procedures and work style of organisation by consulting it in overall
organisation.
Due to coordination there is friendly relations is developed in organisation which impacts
on organisational working environment. So administration need to monitor it regularly.

2. Characteristic of effective speaker and listener in organisation
To become a successful organisation in industry it is essential for all organisation to
recruit or train all employee's for becoming an effective listener and speaker. This helps them to
complete their all functional activities in systematic and sequential manner (Killian and
McManus, 2015). Listening and speaking both are parts of verbal communication that work for
improving working environment of sport love. As it leads them to gain high success in market by
increasing their productivity with aid of effective communication. Some characteristic of good
listeners are as follow:
Ability to reduce conflicts- This consists as of one of important characteristic for a
listener because it undertakes two way communication between party and speaker. On other
perspective it provide advantage to them through understanding communication while interacting
with other party.
Offer quality advice- Good and effective listener are always ready to provide important
information. Due to their good listening abilities they are always updated about market
conditions. Along with this it helps them to provide suitable advice and making out effective
conclusion at end of discussion.
Characteristic of good speaker
Confidence- This is one of major step that is needed by an individual for become an
effective public speaker. It leads them to complete their work with more confidence, accurate
and in likeable manner. HR of sport love apply this process through adopting effective speaking
skill.
Engagement with audience- Speech that is written by speaker need to be focused on
factors through which audience is engaged in organisation. Like some questions, facts and other
ways as it ensures people's or staff are listening message that is beneficial for organisational
success for a longer term period (Savignon, 2018).
Creative- Majority of effective speakers deliver their speech that contain in-depth
information and facts due to which it takes more time. For this they utilize images, stories, points
etc. due to which information is transferred with efficiency and effectiveness. It determines that
creativity is an powerful tool for an effective speaker.

3. Evaluate strength and weaknesses for oral and written communication
Communication is one of most essential activity for organisation as it help both parties to
share their ideas and view with each other. Some of my strength and weaknesses which is
observed by me for communicating with others in effective manner are mention as follow:
Strength in Oral communication
Through implementing oral communication it is easy to present my opinion and views in
front of different people. To effectively communicate with others I try to keep eye
contact with them it increases my confidence while interacting with others. The confidence through which I interact with others if above average that is a positive
factor for me. Along with this my fluent language speaking aids me to explain clearly my
thoughts to people. On other side it help me to develop better relation with workers and
top management.
Weaknesses in Oral communication
At time of speaking I face issue on keep concentration about topic due to this it reduces
the effectiveness and productivity of discussion and meetings
To engage large number of population at time of communication it is difficult for me to
keep in contact with them. This results the overall performance of organisation and
working environment is negatively impacted as most of them involved in their own
discussion.
This is mandatory for me to withdraw my weaknesses of oral communication because it
helps to increase my strength. Similarly due to this it easy for me to keep my confidence level
high. Time period decided from getting rid of weak points of communication is 60 days. While
to improve this I adopt and practice essential skill regularly.
Strength in written communication
At time of writing majority of facts and information that is included are relevant. For this
it is gathered through authenticate and justified sources. For effective writing I always cover all those points that is asked or are necessary for
completing them effectively. It helps to formulate or write clear and precise report.
Weaknesses in written communication
Due to my spelling and grammatical mistake it is complex for reader to understand
meaning of my words that generates problems such as low productivity.

Another difficulty is that it is sticky for me to keep provide constant information for a
longer period. Along with this my hand writing is also need to be improved.
To overcome from weaknesses of written communication I focused on improving my
handwriting. Moreover I am also trying to enhance my grammar and vocabulary with in period
of 3 months.
CONCLUSION
By summing all the above points of project it is concluded business communication plays
an essential role in organisation. It helps to explain ideas, thoughts and information with a brief
method. Along with this it develops positive relationship between sender and receiver that helps
them to achieve their organisational goals. With an effective communication channel in
organisation it is easy for employee's to attain their task and activities. Further in parallel way it
reduces chances of disputes in working environment. At last principle, purpose and strength of
communication is covered due to which effective strategy is developed for their operations.
