Section 1: My Achievements
Description of the skills and knowledge achieved in the Business Communication Skills
During the period of my course I have learnt that effectual business communication is the
most significant part for corporations to move forward. It has been an excellent learning
experience for me where I have learnt about diverse aspects of effectual business
communication. In this module I have learnt about different systems of open along with
closed systems of communication. Essentially, the module has hereby helped me to augment
language and skills of communication required in the present world of business and
management by means of application of important notions of business and structure to real
business case studies from diverse corporations. In essence, the module helps in acquiring
expertise in the field of analysing and reporting skills of communication by means of
reading, evaluating, writing, speaking regarding case studies. Again, skills that also have
been attained by me from this module include influencing and skills of communication for
persuasion, negotiation along with discussion in different business contexts. Additionally,
skills that can be derived from thorough learning of this module include collaborating skills
and helps in acquiring skills of team working and consolidating various learning from prior
works.

The skills and knowledge that I have attained from Academic & Professional Skills Module
helped me in developing and enhancing overall employability. This learning module has also

Section 2: Critical Self-Reflection
Personal Strengths and Weaknesses over the past two terms
Amiable nature: As I am of amiable nature, my strengths are that I am supportive and patient.
On the other hand, my weaknesses are that I have the tendency to conform wishes of others
as I am of amiable nature. Again, I too fail to work within time boundaries and fail to get
things done within time.
Expressive: I am bit expressive in nature and this provides me the strength of a good
communicator. However, being an expressive individual I too possess the weakness of
talking way too much.
Learning Strategies from these modules
Based on the learning acquired from this module, I have gained understanding regarding
strategies for enhancement of memory along with comprehension. I have come know about
the common and effective mechanisms for remembering important information and that is by
the usage of mental surgery. In addition to this, this module has helped me to understand
elaborative interrogation that is necessarily a simple stratagem for enhancement of memory.
The course undertaken and the modules have helped me to comprehend the strategy that
engages reading a specific fact that has the need to be remembered. The business
communication skills module along with the Academic & Professional Module has helped

me to understand also enabled me to know about the learning strategy of key word method,
and this has helped me to demonstrate ways of enhancement of memory for definitions of
particular scientific words, language vocabulary and many others.
Given the opportunity what would you do differently
The best way to analyse oneself is to reflect on past experience of work and there are list of
various situations in which things did not turn out in the way I would have liked it to be. Just
like others I have learnt based on my experiences along with classes taken up for particular
field. However, there are things I wish I could have prepared myself in a better manner to
expect and manage, but different hands-on-experience has assisted me to adapt and hone my
approach. In this case, the key is to improve my training for interweaving real world
opportunities as quickly as possible.
Specific skills needed to developed in a bid to strengthen chances of success in the future
studies
Thorough self reflection has helped me to understand that there are certain communication
skills that every future professional has the need to master. Through this module I have
already acquired the skill of analysing and reporting skills of communication, skills of
communication and skills of team working. However, there is need for further development
of skills that include active skills of negotiation skills, networking skills and presentation
skills. Active skills of negotiation skills can help me in attaining a mutually beneficial
solution by means of understanding and leveraging motivation of other side. Also, by means
of acquiring skills of networking I will be able to display value of business and inspire myself
and others to enter into the business network. Further, I also need to develop skills of
presenting information along with ideas to a specific audience in a manner that can prove to
be engaging, inspiring and at the same time effective.

Section 3: Future Goals
New skills acquired over the past 2 terms that can be transferred to other areas of
studies
Analysis of skills that are acquired over the past two terms reveals that there are expertises
that can be transferred to diverse other areas of studies. Undertaking an integral role within
community while studying can play an important role in the process of coordinating diverse
things, and in a way develop and portray a capability to organize both one as well as others.
In addition to this, I have acquired the new skill of resolution of conflict that in turn helps in
effective communication skill. This is the skill that employers value the most and therefore
can be appropriately transferred.
Personal goals set for the future as a result of things learnt
After completion of this activity, I have learnt a lot of new skills that might deeply affect my
personal along with academic life. Essentially, I get to know more distinctly about the kind of
the format and framework an academic power point. Therefore, I will have the potential to
present more accurate presentation in the upcoming period. Basically, this reflective report
has helped me to identify both my weaknesses as well as my strengths. Based on the analysis,
I have found that I sometimes talk too much being an expressive person and find to difficult
to manage time properly for completion of tasks. Therefore, I would like to improve on these
two areas.
