The topic of bag packing in the mountains have close collection with the job role I
want to pursue in the future. I have been aiming to work as a human resource manager in the
reputed company. In this regard I will be needing to learn various skills which can let me see
through things and gain knowledge about almost everything in life. As we all know,
travelling can teach us more than books and class room studies. This is applicable to me also.
This is due to the fact that the meaning of real world to something different form me. This
type vacation will be teaching me to pack up my things and leave my comfort zone very
often. This is due to the fact that remaining in the comfort zone will bring a feeling of
satisfaction that will prevent my need to learn more.
Bag packing in the mountains will allow me to go out of the safe zone and let me face
the survival problems more frequently. I will be able to make decision as early as possible
and choose the right person fitting the need. As I will be responsible to recruit the right
person for the position in the organisation as an HR, trekking can teach me life learnings and
chose the right from wrongs. I am such a type of person who love to leave whatever I have
gained for long and shift to face a new challenge. This mentality has given me scope to get
knowledge from different aspects of life. I remain within the circle of people supporting me
every time, take care of me and provide whatever I need but while trekking I need to arrange
everything by myself as there are nobody to comfort me. This teaches self-dependence away
from home but gives a better feeling of achievement which I may never get if I do not choose
challenge or adventurer over comfort.
Another thing that I will be learning through the process of bag packing in the
mountains is to be patient. In the common regular situation and time, I feel demotivated and

lose hope in case I fail to achieve a certain objective. In the regular life we possess all what
we need immediately hence wait for nothing. Therefore, the biggest lesson from the trekking
and traveling to mountain I can learn is patience. This is due to the fact that I cannot ask for
help to the others because I am not going to luxurious vacation but an adventure vacation. In
this case anything can happen while travelling and I can face challenges for which I have no
idea hence taken no precaution. In such situation, this vacation can effectively teach me to
remain calm and understand what I should do first without making more fuss. This in the
future career will help me to solve many a problems in the human resources of the company,
there will be numerous issues related to the employees in the organisation and if I lose temper
and make hurried decision, I can bring more issues and complications in the situation,.
Therefore travelling to mountains will teach me to be patient and make decisions according to
the need of the situation.
I shall be beneficial through the trekking process because it will also teach me to be
more curious about things. The process of exploring new places and hiking there is one of the
most needed practice that every HR must do. Bag packing in the mountains will allow me to
explore new areas, learn the culture of the residents, learn new language and enjoy local
cuisine. This is very helpful to maintain the diversity in the work place. As an HR I shall be
promoting diversity in the employee resources of the company as I have the mentality to

a firm that operates in the international market, I need to have the capability of missing with
the strangers and communicate with them. Respecting others from different background
comes on the responsibility of an HR. Through sea sailing, I will be learning to get adjusted
in the situations and find out new opportunities.
Through this type of vacation, I can develop the skills of effective human interaction.
I have come across people who are eager to know the story of travelling who can be stranger
also. As an HR on the other hand I need to be sociable and meet new applicants each day.
The skill of listening others and then understanding their point will be developed by me. This
skill will make me approachable to the already existing employees in one hand and make me
efficient to choose from a range of applicants. In addition to this, through social skills
development, I can seriously build global network for operation. This will definitely hep me
in the business as an HR.
