Introduction
Business communication is the approach through which information is shared between
people who are inside and outside of the company. Effective communication will help the
organization to reach towards the organizational goals. This study will discuss two-page flyer. It
should contain barriers to effective communication. Strategies to overcome and importance of
cultural awareness. It will also discuss theories of effective communication. Barriers of
communication at learn English UK and company strategy to overcome barriers.
Main body
Theories of organizational communication-
Critical theory:
This theory says that conflicts are common in every organization. Management of the
learn English UK should identity the problems of students and should also motivate them so that
they do not feel homesickness (Malyuga and Orlova, 2017). Communication plays a vital role in
this theory in resolving the conflicts, give solution to the problems which arise among students,
encourage the students and given them right direction so that they can achieve the goals. Also
with that company should also make sure that the organizational structure is timely maintained
by which disturbance caused due to noise pollution and climatic errors is reduced.
Information theory:
This theory means that passing information in the efficient manner. Organization should
take certain measures so that accurate communication should be there. Through this effective
communication organizational management can develop efficient relation with the learners by
which issues faced by customers can be resolved and quality of services provided to customers
can also be improved. Authentic information will lead to good communication.
Post positive theory:
This theory will naturally help the organization. It help in treating the conflicts,
unacceptable and misunderstandings in the organization. Due to which management at Learn
English UK can reduce the chances of future conflicts within organization and also at the same
time increase customer's engagement in organizational activities. Communication under this
theory ensures that everybody is obeying the rule and working smoothly.

This theory suggests that the old style of communication has changed with the advanced
technology. Now people in the organization communicate with the mobile and computers which

better communication. Due to the implementation of such technological advancements company
can make sure that students are able to establish efficient communication with their loved once
and because of which chances of facing homesickness can be reduced.
Information flow:
Information when shared up to down and not shared within other department cannot be
called as the effective communication. Company should make sure that information will flow
and reach to each and every person in the organization. By which Learn English UK can
establish effective synchronism in its departmental working by which work related
improvisations made by the higher authorities can be more effective.
Socio-psychological tradition:
This communication theory says that communication involves expression and
expressions are rooted in humans (Dwyer and Hopwood, 2019). People can control and change
their expressions. From the expressions of the individual only organization can predict that
where measure is to be taken. Due to this measurement of aaccuring changes organization can
effectively identify the issues faces by the customers and then can take appropriate measure to
resolve the problems.
Barriers of communication-
Inability to listen to others:
Listening is directly connected with the communication. Effective listening will lead to
effective communication (Minasyan and Midova, 2017). If during communication one is not
listening to the other person then he or she will not understand their point. Learn English UK
should also listen the problems which students are facing so that organization can take steps to
solve that. By doing so company can develop a positive image in front of customers that their
feedbacks and suggestions are taken into account by the organization and will also motivate their
to increase their engagement in organizational activities.

Lack of trust and transparency cannot lead to effective communication because if one
party do not have trust on other party then goals will not achieve. Company should also believe
on students that what they are saying is correct, and they all are genuinely facing issues. This is
important because if organization is not able to work according to the customer requirements
then chances of brand switching will be increased due to which chances of goal achievement will
be reduced.
Dissatisfaction:
This barrier deals with the mind-set. If you had lost interest form something, then it will
very difficult for you to bring back your interest. This barrier is very difficult to overcome. If
person is willing to change their mind-set, then only one can overcome this barrier. Due to this
factor Learn English UK has to make sure that it is able to make sure that it is able to fulfil
customer requirement by which it can make sure that chances of brand switching is increased
and also at the same time maintain their loyalty with the company.
Conflicts:
There are many reasons for conflicts to arise and if once arise then it will cause
ineffective communication. Learn English UK should also resolve the conflicts within their staffs
and students in less time because conflicts further create differences and which is very bad for
the organization. This is important because organization is not able to resolve the conflicts then
in that case there are high chances that simple debate may turn into violence because of which
company has to make sure that conflicts are resolved immediately.

Language and cultural differences plays vital role in communication. If one-person
language is not understood by other person then he or she will not get the complete idea of what
that person wants. Communication can be effective only if the language which is used in the
communication is understood by both parties. Cultural difference can be regional or
international. It can hurt someone’s sentiments as well because of which organization has to
make sure that students are able to implement new and creative ways to establish effective
communication with each other by which chances of misunderstanding can be reduced.
Company strategy to overcome the barriers

This is essential for the communication that receiver and sender both of them should be
the good listener. Both party should listen to each other with the positive attitude. This is
important because if company is not able to resolve the basic problems which the customers are
facing then in that case customer's engagement will be decreased. Learn English UK should first
listen carefully to the issues of the students then only the organization can take measures to solve
them.
Follow-up communication:
Organization should find out the weakness in the communication system. So that efforts
can be made to correct the problems (Heo and Lee, 2018). If problem is found out from the root
only then it will take fewer efforts and time to correct that. Therefore in order to effectively get
to the root of problems company must develop effective communication with the customers by
which it can get a clear understanding of their requirements and high level of customer
satisfaction can be provided.
Consistency of message:
When the information is sent to the receiver that should be related to the objectives and
policies of the organization. If wrong message has forwarded, then new message should be sent
after informing the person that earlier message should be ignored and consider this new one
because lack of knowledge about the new message to the receiver can cause doubts.
Ensuring feedbacks:
Feedbacks are important so that sender can understand that the receiver properly
understood everything or not. Taking feedbacks will remove confusion. Learner English UK

issues of the students. Feedbacks also stops prevailing of misunderstanding.
Be aware of language and content of message:
Sender should check that message is given in that language only which can be understood

their institution from the main city to some other place where traffic will not break student’s
concentration and provide proper Wi-Fi facility so that they can call their family and friends.

Through this report it can be concluded that proper communication is very necessary in
every organization. A flyer is made at the starting. Organizational theories are used. Barriers to
effective communication are evaluated and measures are taken by learn English UK to solve the
barriers. With that through this efficient organizational changes company can improve the
quality of services provided to customers and due to which it can improve the customer
experience and by which customer loyalty will be increased.
