communication (Tripathy, 2018). When unfamiliar,
complicated and technical words are used.
Taboos and emotional barriers are other challenge in
communication, it means some people cannot express
its emotions easily.
Some topics are also irrelevant and which is the
problem in communication.

There are several ways through communication
barriers can be reduced and also removed.
When an individual is communicating with other
then they must have checked the time and place is
suitable to communicate or not.
Sender should have used such language or words
which the receiver can understand easily.

Importance of cultural awareness
Cultural awareness plays vital role in
communication and it also helps in making
communication effective.
When an individual work with the people who
belongs to different culture, the he or she develops
understanding related to different expectations,
rules and norms.
Then in the future if an individual wants to work
with or by chance, they are working with people
of different culture then it can be easily
manageable.
Conclusion
From the above report it can be concluded that
language, location etc are the various barriers of
the communication.
To mitigate this barrier or to reduce it there are
many strategies like choosing proper place for
communication and one must not communicate in
those areas where there are disturbances.
Cultural awareness also has role in the
communication.
As lack of cultural awareness can build hurdles in

Challenges for effective communication
There are difficult topics which cannot be understand easily which involves religion,
sexuality, disabilities, politics etc.
Lack of attention is also an issue when the receiver does not listen to what the sender
is saying.
Sometimes external distractions also make communication ineffective. Due to
distractions receiver does not concentrate to what the sender is saying.
Difference in the viewpoint of sender and receiver will not end the communication in
the fruitful manner.
When sender have speech problem and receiver have hearing problem then that
communication is ineffective because communication was not done properly as
expected.
Strategies to overcome barriers of communication
Language should be clear and easy because using complex words makes it difficult
for receiver to understand what sender is saying.
One topic should be discussed at the time, as it is observed that discussing more then
one topic or multiple topics can be confused the receiver.
If any of the individual sender or receiver is not interested to communicate then that
should have been respected and should delay the communication.
When sender and receiver are communicating, they should be very careful while
selecting the location (Wang and et.al., 2020).
As those location should be selected which is free from distractions.
Importance of cultural awareness
Working with people who belongs to different culture also helps an individual to be
versatile.
If an individual does not work or deny working with different culture people then
there is possibility of making more mistakes.
