INTRODUCTION
Communication is the process of transferring the thoughts from one person to another and the communication skills
help the people to work. This leaflet includes the problems faced by teachers and students in online classes in
Covid-19.
Barriers to effective communication
The communication barriers between teachers and students and they are affecting the teaching methods are-
 Noise – The classes are online due Covid 19 and the students are not interested in learning which is creating
lot of noise from the students.
 Technical barriers- The strong internet connection is required for increasing the knowledge of the students.
The poor connection will impact the performance of the students.
 Emotional barriers- The students should get the analysis of the performance and the parents are not able to
communicate with the teachers and they will not able to help the child in increasing the knowledge. It is
making the parents not interested in the studies of the students.
 Physical barrier- The online classes will not have students present in the classroom and they are not able
increase the performance because they are not interested in the online lectures.
Effective strategies to overcome communication barriers
The strategies to have the communication between students and teachers are-
 The teachers can solve the technical problems by having their own portal so that they can take the classes
of the students and they should use high speed internet connection that will reduce the problems of the
classes. The teachers should communicate with the students so that they can focus and pay attention to the
lectures and they are increasing the performance.
 The teachers should have the discussion with the parents and that can be conducted a virtual parent teacher
meeting where they can help the parents in increasing the performance of the students.
Importance of cultural awareness
Cultural awareness is an important factor as it helps in understanding different beliefs and cultures of the people
who are working in team and they will help them in communication.. The cultural awareness is important for students and
teachers
 It helps in maintaining relationship between the students and teachers and it will help them to understand each
other. The students will have to work in teams so they should have communication that will help them in
increasing the performance.
 It helps in understanding the behaviour of the students and the teachers and the culture should help them in
increasing the performance and they should help each other in the studies.

From the above report it is concludes that communication is the most important factor and the teachers and
students must take measures to increase the communication.
