INTRODUCTION
Business communication is a process shearing of information , thoughts , any ideas and
discussion within an any organization. In the assessment one this report will cover challenges
and barriers are faced by employees of Mr Fishy company and development of strategies to
overcome from this all barriers and it will include cultural influence during communication and
negotiations. In an assessment two this report will cover literature review of different forms of
communication ,enhance practices of effective communication and evolution of practices on
themselves and others. This all questions will Analyze and discuses in the end of this report.
ASSESSMENT 1
Challenges and Barriers to Effective Communication
Employees of the Mr Fishy company is facing barriers and challenges in effective
communication (Arnold and Boggs, 2019). Barriers like language barriers ,listing problems,
cultural influence and complex structure of an organization
Language barriers
Employees of Mr Fishy company are facing problem because Mr fishy is an restaurant
and there are many tourist come to visit this restaurant (Banerjee and et.al., 2016). Company's
employees are having problem to talk with them they cannot understand needs of the customers
and this is challenging for new employees talk with customers.
Listening Barrier
Some of the employees are not able to understand proper information because of lack of
listening ability this challenging for them to understand the information and task, some of them
do not pay attention when mangers give information about their task this create barriers for both
mangers and employees.
Organization structure barrier
Complex organizational structure create barrier for both suppressors and subordinates.
Employees cannot exchange their thoughts and information to their superiors and event
superusers can't give any impotent information to their employees this can directly impact on
company growth and profitability(Ghobadi and Mathiassen, 2016). Mr Fishy company is facing
this problem and managers of the company can't communicate with their employees.

Development of strategies to overcome from those barriers
Mr Fishy company is facing many organizational communication barriers and it is
important for them to overcome from this barriers for company. there are many solution to
overcoming from this situation company should make strategies to overcome from this language.
Group Task
Group task is an most effective strategy to overcome from communication barrier Mr
Fishy company can apply this practices to remove this barrier this will create proper flow of
communication in an organization,employees will create relation with others and they will learn
that to work in team , employees can do their task in less time and better , it's hard for any
individual to do any task on time if they will do that task together then they will take very less
time to do that task.
Use of simple language
Some of the Employees cannot understand information because they face problem to
understand language , managers should use simple language so employees can understand the
information they also face problem when they and information in written so it is better to give
them information orally that will help them to understand easily.
Cultural influence on communication and negotiation
Mr Fishy company is running a restaurant so many customers from all over the World
come and visit their restaurant and it is important for them to respect their culture , language and
their religion (Jones and et.al., 2015). Cultural influence can create a problem for employees
during a negotiation with different different customers they all have different demand and
different ways to communicate and it is impotent for employees to give them satisfaction and
proper negotiate with their customers , even in a same language they face problem when any
word have different meaning .

According to () The main purpose of communication is to bring all the employees
together so they can work together and achieve organization goals with the help of each other
and It is a part of managerial function and also associate with other function of the management.
Without proper flow of communication organization cannot achieve success so it is necessary for

organization to implement proper flow of communication and it work to fill the gaps between
subordinates and superiors. There are different types of communication forms like formal ,
informal , downward and upward communication that can help Mr Fishy company to run
smoothly and effectively.
Formal communication
Informal communication is an exchange of the professional information that information
flow through different level of an organization and confirm them prescribed all professional
rules - regulation, process and policy of the organization (Leal Filho and et.al., 2017). It control
and follows proper channel of the communication and this is governed by as chain of command
and complies with all rules of the organization. These all channel are interconnected with each
other and provide all the information in a less time. This helps them to clear all legal rules and
regulation of the company
Informal Communication
Informal communication is totally different from formal because in this method two or
more then two persons talk without informing official system,rules and any chain of the
command(McLeskey Rosenberg and Westling, D. L. 2017). This type of communication based
personal relation any family , friends and member of the group and this method have no chain of
command , superheroes of an organization also use informal communication when they are
having any problem to collect information from worker they use this method to collect
information this can also conclude any suggestions they can convinced by smile or gesture. This
is best way for superiors to get any information from subordinates.
Downward communication
This communication is used by superiors when they want to provide information to the
lower level mangers give information to the supervisor and and supervisor deliver that
information to the employees . Supervisor help them to create link between both mangers and
employees. This downward system is useful for both of them. Mangers can properly connect
with their employees and they can also get suggestion in their decision making. This is the best
and fast ways to provide information to the higher level.
Upward communication
Upward communication is just alternate to the downward communication in this method
if employees wants to give any information to the leaders or mangers then he give that

information to their supervisor and that supervisors deliver that information to superiors. It help
employees if they are facing any problem or they have any issue so they can can give that
information related to that problem to the higher level. This is proper ways to exchange any
idea, thoughts to the higher level.
Theme – 2 Enhance practice of appling principle of effective communication
According to (McLeskey, Rosenberg and Westling, D. L., 2017)There are some principle
of effective communication that can help Mr Fishy to flow proper communication in their
company , poor flow of communication demotivate employees so it is impotent for them to
apply these principles
Principal of Clarity
Message and information should be clear so employees can understand easily and clearly
describe so they understand that what sender wants convey . Impotent points should be
mentioned clearly so they it will be easy for them to understand that information if the message
is clear and proper then then employees can do their task with perfection. Mangers should use
language which more understandable for workers. If mangers will use difficult language then
employees will not get proper information and they will not understand their task so it is
impotent to use easy language.
Principle of attention
If attention of the employees is important for an effective communication. If employees
pay attention during mangers give information then employees can do their task more
effectively. It is depend on superiors that how they communicate with workers if they they are
positively and confidently give information to the emp,employees then they will give more
attention.
Principle of Feedback
Feedback plays impotent role to make organizational communication effective sometime
, formal information does not provide effective result but informal communication can provide a
very good result so management of Mr Fishy company should use informal communication to
assessing the reaction of workers toward polices. Superiors should give them positive feedback
when they do well in their work. This will keep employees motivated and they will work more
better and it will create proper communication flow between superiors and subordinates.

free to work in company.
Principles of Consistency
It is important for Mr Fishy company to states that the communication should consistent
with the plans , programs , objective and goals of the organization and it should not conflict with
them. If the communication will be conflict with programs and policy's then it will create
confusion in the mind of the employees and they will not able to implement them and this
situation will detrimental to the interest of an company.
Principles of Timeliness
Proper time management of communication is also impotent for company it will help
them to implement plans , if there is any delay in impotent communication Then it will not serve
any purpose rather decision become of an historical impotence.
Theme -3 Communication practices on themselves and others
Visual communication is the best way to convey our message or information through
video9, animation and graphic design and Commonly I always use visual communication
strategies because this strategy generate interest among the employees and they can understand
message easily and it best way to understand any task proper in my this well be best for other
companies also should implement this strategy because this will be help their employees to
understand the given task , this is always challenging for superiors to covey their information
through written and oral according to the (McLeskey, Rosenberg, and Westling, 2017)if this
information will be displayed by using graphic design and videos then it will be more
understandable for them other company's can also use this improve flow of communication in
their organization. Verbal and non verbal communication is also helpful to covey our message
ot information to others . Other organization can also use this to two practices to improve
communication flow in their organization verbal communication

practices on the other and themselves and discuses about how themselves and others can use
visual communication that will help them to understand easily , in verbal they can provide
information through the messages and notice, employees can understand by reading that
information and non verbal communication they can communicate their messages throuh orally
and gesture to improve flow of the communication.

As per the report it has been analyzed in assessment 1 that challenges and barriers in
effective communication language barriers , listening and organizational structure barriers and
also analyze that how to overcome from this all barriers for Mr Fishy company and cover the
cultural influence in during the communication and negotiation and In an assessment 2
literature review has been done and analyze purpose and principle behind form of
organizational communication then principle of effective communication enhance in
organization then they evaluate the communication practices on themselves and others and in
the last all the questions analyze and discussed again in this report.
