The first week made me understand about communication in the business
organisation. The communication is an integral part of the business organisation
which helps in conducting the business activities and operations. The free
communication in the business organisation will make me feel that I am a part of the
team and my performance will improve. I know that the business organisation require
ethical communication that will help in building a relationship with others and
achieve the goals effectively. The communication also helps in building the team and
taking team efforts to accomplish the responsibility or the business organisation. This
will also help me to deliver and share my thoughts and ideas with other people in the
business organisation(Adler & Elmhorst, 2012).
The second week showed that verbal communication is incomplete without non-
verbal communication. The non-verbal communication is important for the
employees in the business organisation as it helps to deliver the complete and correct
message to the audience. The business communication also helps in taking the right
decisions with the help of non-verbal communication skills. The listening skills of the
employees are also necessary as it will help them to understand the information and
further deliver it to others. The listening skills also help to follow and understand the
instructions of the leaders and managers (Bovee & Courtland, 2012). These elements
help the employees to effectively communicate with the employees and implement
the changes in the business organisation. These skills will also help me to grow in
future career.
There are three types of communication that can be carried out in the business
organisation that is verbal, non-verbal and written communication. These
communication helps in to transfer the data and information in the internal and
external business environment. The written communication is the most formal and
adopted method in the business organisation that will help in taking an effective
decision. The written communication is also used in the business organisation to
inform about a certain situation. This is a better way of communicating in the business
organisation as it will help to maintain the records and proof for future purpose. The
written communication can be conducted through a different medium like emails,
messages and chat groups. These also help in providing instant information and
decision to any department of the business(Conrad & Newberry, 2012).
