This project is based on the business communication and is divided into three parts. Task 1
covers the cover letter. Although, in task 2, detailed report plan is made. While in the third task,
a report is going to made for elaborating the cultural and communication causes of the
communication barriers at Pine Parks Care Home.
INTRODUCTION
Business communication is an essential task which helps the senior managers and all the
employees for making the business decisions effectively. In this report, cover letter is going to
made for responding to a job advert. In addition to this, a detailed report plan is made for
communication is made.

Pine park is the trust which provides the services related to care the elderly residents.
They have the huge team of volunteers which provides these services. To effectively provide
services there is need to be have good communication between them. Communication helps to
make the coordination among them and create good relation which improves the performance of
team. But communication between team members is get affected because of some issues. This
will create breakdown in communication process. Some issues which are reason of such
communication breakdown is described below:
1. Communication barrier: The difference between standards and the culture of team
members affect the communication between them. Such differences create the problem to
understand the views of each other and this would be the result of conflicts between
them.
2. Mixing personal communication: Some team members introduce their personal problems
at workplace. This will affect the professionalism between them and affects
communication.
3. Misinterpretations and assumptions: There is large team work in providing the services
related to take care of elderly residents (White, 2015). Sometimes, team not get the right
meaning of the views of other team members which arise the conflicts between them.
This will affect the ability of team to provide the service effectively.
