Task 1
Why is academic integrity important?
Academic integrity is an honest and responsible scholarship where the mentor expects
the student to submit original work and credit the ideas of other people. The maintenance of
the academic integrity involves creating and expressing the ideas of the student in course of
work and safeguarding the honesty during the examination time (Cronan, Mullins & Douglas,
2018). It is important for me because it facilitates me with a chance of success by conducting
the assessment for the student and maintaining it by an honest attitude. As an advisor it is
important to invest my time and effort in studying behind a particular subject.
What penalties can apply to breaches of academic integrity?
The possible penalties to breach of academic integrity are:
The student’s assessment can be disallowed or the marks can be amended as well for
the entire semester.
Agree with the candidates on a course of corrective actions.
Issue a caution and reprimand to the student’s.
Prohibit the student in accessing the University premises, services or activities of
University and the facilitates.
Should impose condition in the candidate’s attendance, participation in any event or
social events for at least two weeks (Newton, 2016).
It should be reported to the Vice-Chancellor that the enrollment number of the student
to be suspended for a period of time and keep it under conditions as the committee
decides to be necessary.
How does working with integrity improve your professional and personal success?
Hence it is important for anyone to maintain its integrity as it leads to personal and
professional success because it strikes in personal and business code of conduct. Integrity is
known as one of the key features for an individual as it caters to great value service or
product and creates a vision. This can also influence the employees working who are to
motivate in order to boost their integrity (Reed & Jeremiah, 2017). On the other hand it is

also vital to maintain the operation in the ground as the employee or people from personal life
works with integrity and respect.
Task 2
It is important to develop skills in critical thinking and apply the critical evaluation
and also learn to manage time because according to Kolb’s learning theory there are four
styles of learning and the cycle of leaning caters to observation and reflection. These stages
assist in assimilating the abstract concepts and produce new implication.
With reference to working with new people it is advised to use the system and method
with care. Hence it is important for the student to have the knowledge of time management
because as a child I had inculcated the time management skills which assisted me to prioritize
the task which I was able to complete at my university or learning institution itself and also
submit the assessment on time. It is vital for the student to plan ahead and set the time and
day they need to indulge in their theoretical as well as practical assignments and make the
best use of the time (Cottrell, 2017).
On the other had critical thinking caters to analyze the facts to form a judgment.
However the subject is complex and they are several forms of explanation which includes
skeptical, rational and unbiased evidences. As a child I would develop my skills firstly by
breaking the cycle of learning only from books and facilitate the option of open-ended
questions and allow the other children to think various types of method in answering those
questions. Hence the next attribute is to boost the critical thinking by challenging the students
with tricky problem (Nappi, 2017). The students learn to use various resources and come up
with a creative solution.
Task 3
The two chosen two models of business communication are Aristotle’s Persuasion
Model and Shanon and Weaver’s Information Theory Model. Firstly it can be said that in
Aristotle’s Persuasion Model it determines in this case if anyone tries to combine three
appeals which are logos, ethos and pathos (Yang et al., 2018). They try to persuade the
audience and draft the message with facts which is logos, argument on emotional elements
which is pathos and lastly present his or her message in setting the moral standards which is

the ethos. Secondly the model of Shanon and Weaver’s Information Theory Model comprise
of a systematic approach from the step of the brain till the receiver of the message (Rogers &
Valente, 2017). However this is a vital communication model because the sender of the
message module their though, transfers the concept into message and lastly sends it to the
recover. It also comprise of the feedback process which makes the work easier.
There are few issues or challenges faced due to which the business communication
may not be successful and some of the reasons are:
It is important for any employee or leader to first listen and the respond. In situation
where the employee has to maintain the innate pressure of the business there might be
a gap of communication.
It is easy for the business to rely on technology but the process of installation makes
the process more expensive and time consuming.
Some of the leaders find it inefficient to conduct meetings on monthly basis as they
think it is waste of time for the employee and themselves. But it should be facilitated
as it gives chance to communicate with the higher authority.
