INTRODUCTION
Business communication refers to the sharing of information of business to the
employees or outside the company. Business communications are needed by any organisation to
maintain relation with employees and outsiders. Modern business make business communication
through online platforms that is through web communications (Nickerson, Rapanta and Goby,
2017). This reflection covers what I have studied about good business communication. This also
covers elements of business communication and how I can improve my business communication
style and how it can helps me in near future.
MAIN BODY
Key components of effective business communication
Effective Business communication produces sharing of information between the insiders
and outsiders of the company. Communication enables people to act and promotes appropriate
decision in the company. There are several key components of effective business communication
. These are-
Structure- Structure is the main element that is used in making effective business
communication as it involves an opening, body and last close. The more powerful
employee can end the communication it will be remembered by the audience of other
staff members (Ragas, Uysal and Culp, 2015).
Clarity- Clarity is the another element that is required in effective business
communication because if clarity is not there in speaking then there will be
misunderstanding of message conveyed. So clarity is most important in communicating
with any other person.
Consistency- Inconsistency can create a barrier in the communication process. So there
could be consistency among multiple messages while communicating with any other
person.
Medium- Next element is medium, it is the tool or device through which communication
is done. It can be mobile phone, laptop or email etc. it needs to in proper manner so that
there will be effective business communication (Shimizu, 2017).

Recency- Person should remember that its opening of the sentence should be related to
the closing of sentence.
Reflection
Gibbs reflective cycle was invented by Graham Gibbs in 1988. this model gives a
structure to learning from experiences (Slone and Gaffney, 2016). This offers a framework for
evaluating experiences. Model covers six stages. These are:
Description- During taking my business communication class, I learnt that Business
communication is sharing of information to the insiders and outsiders both. I can able to
understand what theories are made in communication process. I have learnt that there are various
challenges and barriers that are coming in between effective business communication. These
barriers are lack of feedback or device chaos that are to be effective and proper while
communicating with any person.
Feelings- I feel like business communication is the most important part of any organisation.
Before reading about this topic I feel like it is not a much important but after reading this, I will
be able to understand that this topic is most important because employees are the one who needs
to communicate proper with the customers and all outsiders.
Evaluation- By this I can able to evaluate that each member of the organisation needs to build
some business communication skills in them. By this they can able to do effective
communication with other members in the organisation.
Analysis- I have analysed that from the presentation that by building business communication
skills employee can do effective communication. And also there are various solutions that can
solve the problems of communication.
Conclusion- I have concluded that effective business communication skills can make a good
speaker and a good listener.
Action plan- If I will work in any organisation then I will keep in mind the effective business
communication skills that are to be followed by me so that I could not face any barriers in
communicating with any person in front of me. I will perform my all task effectively and
efficiently.

CONCLUSION
From the above report it has been concluded that business communications are most
important part of any organisation. As they needs to be very effective while doing. But there are
certain challenges that needs to be improved. From the above report it is recommended that
employees needs to be very clear and effective at the time of communicating with any person.
Ans also there device should work in a effective manner so that it cannot create any disturbance.
