Task 1
Academic integrity shows an individual doing the right thing even if no one knows
and also upholds the academic honesty policies. Academic integrity is important due to some
reasons such as people trusting an individual who holds integrity while another important
reason is that integrity provides value to an individual’s degree (Löfström, Trotman &
Shephard, 2015). Lastly, one more reason why academic integrity in importance because it
offers an individual a peace of mind by believing that he/she is doing the right thing and
acting consisting with those beliefs which also helps in reducing excessive stress in an
individual’s life and keep it healthier, happier and more productive.
There can be several penalties on an individual breaching academic integrity in terms
of cheating, ghost-writing, bullying, recycling, contract cheating, data falsification or any
other breach as examined by the institution. There can be breach in terms of plagiarism such
as incorrect paraphrasing, straight copying, collusion and intellectual theft (East PhD &
Donnelly, 2012). The penalties consists of warning, marking zero for the assessment,
resubmission, or can mark the assessment as failed. Others can be suspension period,
recommended exclusion, and marks reduction.
In personal life, living with honesty and integrity improves the lives and make it
valuable by impacting and touching while affecting and individual. Moreover, an individual
feels good about their self along with sensing peace of mind, joy and happiness. In terms of
professional life, integrity of an individual helps in their will power to stand for their rights
and values while speaking out against any behaviour that is found unethical (Tang & Liu,
2012). An individual has its own qualities of loyalty, honesty and dependability which
demonstrate opportunities for them in the workplace that can be in both ways obvious and
subtle.
Task 2
Learning styles assist people in understanding their potential and key gaps in their
abilities to improve their academic career. Peterson and Kolb have provided 4 key learning
styles which categorises different types of learners; these styles include concrete experience,
reflective observation, abstract conceptualisation and active experimentation (Peterson &
Kolb, 2017). From these four styles, my learning style is active experimentation because I

their exams and other curriculums and put steps towards success. It develops their ability to
learn and they are able to get more work done in less time. Therefore, time management is
significant for students to manage their studies and succeed in their academic career.
Critical thinking is refers to the ability of a person to analyse the facts in order to form
an argument; it can assist students in further developing their knowledge and skills (Kong,
Qin, Zhou, Mou & Gao, 2014). I want to develop this skill as it will make me more
independent and direct me towards achieving my goals. It enables students to become more
creative and it enhances their language and presentation skills which are achieved through
self-reflection and analysis of facts before making a decision. Therefore, it will help me
develop by knowledge and skills as well.
Task 3
Models of business communication are used to explain the process of human
communication which helps in receiving and sending messages or information to transfer
from one employee to another in business. One of the model helps in making communication
between employees easy and simpler is one employee sending message to another employee
and one the message is received, that individual send the feedback of received message to the
one who send that message at the first place. In terms of business communication process, the
success of this model is largely dependent on the response or feedback or reaction of an
employee who received the message (Antikainen & Valkokari, 2016). This model is termed
as ‘circular communication model’ emphasizing on a two way process in relation to
communication feedback system. Also, this model is important for two way communication.
Another model is ‘interaction communication model’ which was established by Moss
and Tubbs describes exchange message process between the parties. In this model, X is
depicted as a sender and Y is depicted as a receiver; X sends the message to receiver where Y
