The business communication is defined as the sharing of the information within the
numerous departments within the business enterprise. It is very essential for the organisation to
have a right flow of the information in order to work in a effective and efficient manner. The
business communication is the crucial part for the the company in order to achieve the goals and
objectives. An effective way of communication helps in improving the productivity of the people
and organisation. It is important to regulate the certain rule and regulations in order to work in a
appropriate manner within the business organisation. This report is based on the travel agency
which is Hays a travel agency company. (Atouba, and Lammers, 2020). This report will include
various topic such as general theories of organisational communication, the various barriers
preventing people from booking for holidays and at last various strategies in order to overcome
with the barriers.

Theories of organisational communication
The business communication is defined as the wide concept which allows the company in
managing the flow of the information with several departments in order to gain the competitive
advantage. It is very essential for the business organisation to communicate effectively within the
company in order to achieve the goals and objectives. The business communication is the
concept of exchange of the information within the employees and the management. It is
identified that an effective business communication will help in attaining the goals and
objectives. (Yang, and et.al., , 2020). It is very important for the business organisation to
consider the various principles of the communications which are clarity, correctness,
conciseness, courtesy, concreteness, considerations and completeness. The company need to
consider the communication and the flow of information in appropriate manner where there are
general theories of communications which is discussed below;
Bureaucracy theory- This was the theory which was introduced by the Max Weber
which helps in defining the high level of the formal structure within the business
organisation. This is the theory where the staff members of a organisation is responsible
to report to their superior and the communication can take place where the top command
is responsible for the decision making and communicating everything to top management

organisation. There are three functions defined in this type of theory of business
communication which is communication, maintenance of cohesiveness and maintenance
of feelings of personal integrity & self-respect. This theory states that it depends on the
subordinates and the willingness in order to listen and follow the manager and the higher
authority. It is very essential that the subordinates and the manager both have a mutual
understanding of everything in order to communicate in a effective and efficient manner.
Theory X and Theory Y- This is the theory which is defined as the motivational theory
developed by McGregor which is dependent over the direct opposing assumption of a
human behaviour. This is the theory where the employees are considered as the greatest
asset of the organisation. It is very important for the business organisation and managers
to keep the flow of the communication in an effective way in order to motivate its
employees towards the working in a productive m,manner. This theory helps the
organisation in effective communication between employees and the other departments.

destinations for travelling where there are several problems which arises for the people which
bring stress for the people while booking for some of the hotels and resorts in order to travel to

which can create barrier which prevent people from booking their holidays to travel. Some of
them are discussed below;
Financial concerns- This is the most important matter of concern for the people where
need to think of the amount they need to spend in travelling and this also depends on the
variety of services they need. As the travelling includes the huge amount of expense in
which they need to spend. As in context of the people booking for the abroad trip can
