The current study is based upon the communication and its principles which help to
clearly share the information with each others. The study is based upon the case study for UK
transport manager in which different forms of communication is applied such that face to face
communication, telephone, meeting and email. Further principles are discussed such that clarity,
attention, avoiding of vague words etc. Also, study apply the principle of communication within
the London Underground and examine barriers of communication and then recommending the
ways to overcome challenge as well.

INTRODUCTION
Communication is all about exchanging the information by speaking, writing and with
different forms of medium. In the same way, current study is also help to shed a light on
importance of communication in a company so that company may meet the define aim. Also,
every company uses their own form of communication and in this study, various forms are
determined. Further, the study is for UK Transport manager which focused upon the principles
of effective communication and determine the purpose of using communication within a
working place. Also, with the help of effective communication form, company is able to transfer
the data from the sender to receiver in order to meet the define aim. Further the study also
analyses the barriers which affect the communication and then provide the ways through which
the barrier may overcome which in turn assist to clearly share the information to each other.

In the view of Haynes, Nunnington and Eccles (2017) communication is the best method
through which the information can be shared easily between each other. With an effective
communication strategy, employees and management interact with each other and reach to an
organizational goals. Hence, its purpose is to improve the organizational practice and reduce
error. Also with the help of effective communication strategy, company boost the customer
relationship and in this way, customer loyalty is increases. There are many forms of
communication strategy that helps to maintain relationship between employees and customers.
Such that Hardt (2019) stated that email which is the most common form of communication
which is used by the company in order to share information formal as well as informally, so it is
a written mode of communication. Even sending an email is takes only a second and also one of
the convenient way among other form. As speed is consider one of the most essential thing
within a business and that is why, it is used. On contrary, disadvantages of using email is such
that many times it is ignored and also cause misunderstanding, virus attack and may be hacked
by hackers where all the personal information may will be shared.

Kamaruddin, Izehari and Sukimin (2017) present that meeting is another form of
communication where a specific agenda is discussed within a firm. Through this, methods,

impact upon the customer and staff because in order to make sure that the get proper information
related to business (Guo and Zhao, 2019). As London Underground is also make sure that they
provide proper and safe transportation facilities to their customers so that they provide easy and
safe traveling facilities to their customers. Also, company use telephone as a communication
channel in order to take a feedback and make a booking so that it will creates a positive impact
upon operations.
Further in London Underground, the main purpose of communication is to make sure
that there is a proper flow of communication and also with the help of effective communication,
proper coordination will developed which in turn assist the company to meet the define aim and
objectives.

Company used online form of communication channel in which they may post a new
facility added by the company in order to manage the work in efficient way, so that they may
overcome the issue of communication. Also, it provide personalized services to their customers
in order to enhance the customer satisfaction which in turn leads to creates positive impact upon

Company faces many barrier in regards to communication such that lack of attention and

overcome by adding more tubes within a underground station and in order to avoid
overcrowding spaces, it is recommended to the company to offer them a big space like make lift
for the people and even make sure that there is a new staff members allotting to handle the
situation of overcrowding. Also, company should provide effective training and also recruit
multi- linguistic employees who easily communicate the things with the customers and this in
turn help to meet the define aim and objectives as well. In this way, it is analyzed that for
improving communication, company should make sure that there should be no physical barrier
and emotional barrier because it may affect the results in opposite manner and that is why, it
somehow affect the communication level of London Underground. But by applying the

By summing up above report, it has been concluded that there are many barriers faces by
the company with regards to communication and by implementing different strategies and model
of communication, it is easy for the company to minimize the challenges. Further, study
concluded different forms of communication methods which can be applied by the company in
order to share the information correctly with the staff and customers. Also with the help of
effective communication method such that social media, telephone and personalized item,
company may communicate the views to customers.
