INTRODUCTION
Business communication is related to those process of communication under which the
information, ideas and thoughts are transfer within and outside the organisation (Sheffield,
2020). Communication is one of the most important aspect of the organisation because it helps to
spread the information to many people as same as the project where the information related to
the vaccination are spread due to leaflet. This report provide us the information related to general
theories of organisational communication and also the barriers to the covid-19 vaccination.
There are many strategies which is conduct by government to remove these barriers are stated in
this report.
TASK
General theories of organisational communication
Organisational communication is important aspect for any work place because it helps the
employees and the related parties to interact with each other effectively. There are many theories
are present in the market in regard to this and the brief discussion related to these are given
below.
Bureaucratic theory by Max Weber
This theory was developed by Max weber under which it describes the organisational
communication effective. According to this theory bureaucracy is better than traditional structure
of organisation because under this structure all the employees working in the organisation
equally in term of different things (Pikhart, 2018). Max identifies six characteristics of
bureaucracy on which the brief discussion are given below:
Task specialisation
Max states that the task specialisation brings the efficiency in the completion of task at
their highest level. It states that the organisation should be divided in different categories on the
basis of competency and area of expertise so that all the employees has effective roles and
responsibility.
Hierarchical management structure
According to Max Weber the organisation should be divided on different layers or team
and the responsibility of performance of each layer are based on their leader. It is concluded

from this theory that each layer of the organisation provided guidance to their lower layer and the
highest authority are hold by highest layer. The Hierarchical structure should possess the
effective communication, delegation of authority and division of responsibility.
Formal selection rules
Under this section of characterises Max focuses on the selection and recruitment of
employees in the organisation. It states that the employees are selected in the organisation on the
basis of their skills and competencies which is develop by their education and training.
Efficient and uniform requirement
It is stated by the Max that all the policies and strategies of the organisation should be
uniform and not changes day by day because it decreases the effectiveness and morale of the
employees. All the employees are aware about these policies and regulation used in the
organisation.
Impersonal environment
According to Max , the relationship between the employees in the organisation should be
formal nor informal. The informal relations between the employees creates many problems such
as favouritism and many more.
Achievement based environment
The organisation should have environment recognises the achievement of employees and
provides them considerable rewards for their achievements. This environment promotes the
motivation in the organisation.
Barriers to the Covid-19 Vaccination
Covid vaccination is the biggest vaccination drive which is running in all the countries of
the world to protect their citizens from the deadly virus (Garcia-Sanchez and et. al., 2020). Many
peoples and organisations makes great efforts to make this vaccination drive successful and
effective but there are some barriers which harms this drive and the brief discussion related to
these barriers are given below:
Physical barrier
This barrier of vaccination is related to the physical existence of covid vaccination
centres. It is analyses that many people faces difficulties to reach at the vaccination centres
because of huge distance between their house and the centre. In many countries there is a lack of
proper physical health structure under which the vaccination drive take place.

Emotional barrier
One of the most important barriers which the vaccination drive faces in their operation is
the emotion of people. Most of the peoples has belied on the rumours spread in the environment
in relation to the side effect of the vaccine and many more. Public has fear of side effects and
neglect to take the vaccine and it will the number of cases.
Information barriers
It is related to those barriers which is developed of due to the lack of information and also
misinformation in relation to the vaccination and their side effects. The lack of education enable
many people to believe in rumours and neglect to take the vaccine.
Attitudinal barriers
There are many people which has an attitude to not taking the vaccine because their
behaviour restrict any changes in their life which is their greatest weakness. These types of
peoples generally don't follow the rules and guideline developed by government which will
become spreader of disease.
Cultural barriers
The population of United kingdom has diversified because there are different types of people are
living in this country which has different religion, caste, language and many more. Most of the
the operation in the country are conducted in English and many people are families with other
language so it becomes the barrier for vaccination.
Government strategies to overcome the barriers
It is the duty of the government to take these barriers into consideration and develops
effective strategies to remove these barriers and increases the effectiveness of the vaccination
drive. The brief discussion related to the strategy of government are given below:
Set up covid centres near residential colonies
As most of the people facing difficulty to reach at the centre of vaccination because of the
long distance, the government is trying to set up the centres for the vaccination near the
residential areas under which the peoples can get the vaccine easily and the number of cases
become decreases (Costa-Sánchez, 2017). Government try to organise these funds for these
activities. One of the greatest advantage of this is that it reduces the number of people on
vaccination centre because these are divided in many parts.
Spread information about the vaccine
Document Page
It is analysed in many surveys that most of the people neglect the vaccine and also demotivate
other persons is the lack information. It is the duty of the government to spread the useful
information about the vaccine to public so that the citizens take the vaccine and become
protected from the disease. Advertisement is the best method to spread the message and many
celebrities endorse the message which is very helpful for the vaccination drive. Most of the
barriers are removes by this strategy of the government because endorsement by celebrities has
high chances of success.
Arrange transportation to reach at vaccine centre
It is very important for the organisation to organise the transportation for the movement of public
from their house to covid centres. The government of United kingdom organises buses for this
purpose and also many other vehicles. The guideline which the government develops for the
protection from disease are strictly followed in this system.
Established helpline centres
Recommendations-150 words
There are many recommendation which I used to deliver to the authorities so that the
effectiveness of the covid vaccination drive can be increases. The brief discussion related to
these recommendations are given below:
The first recommendation which I used to give authorities that all the process of the
vaccination should be available in different languages. Many people which does not
familiar with English finds themselves in difficulty in relation to the vaccination. The
advertisement and booking process should be placed in all the languages.
The another recommendation to the authorities is that it established huge number of
vaccination centres. The vaccination centres are limited in number so huge number of
people are present in each centre which increases the chances of disease spread.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from this report that it is required for the government to develop effective
strategies for the management and removal of different barriers from vaccination drive so that all
persons can take the vaccine effectively (Bannier, Pauls and Walter, 2019). It is very important
for the public to remover all the rumours related to the vaccination with the initiative of the
organisation. This report conclude us the information related to general theories of

strategies which is conduct by government to remove these barriers are concluded in this report.
