INTRODUCTION
Business communication is referred to the process of passing on the information from
one person to another. The information can be shared within the organisation as well as outside
the organisation. An effective business communication is wherein the interaction between
employees and management take place in order to convey the organisational goals so that they
can be accomplished in the future (Ali and et.al., 2021). The study revolves around the success of
the vaccination campaign that is to be conveyed to the Prime Minister.
ANALYSIS AND DISCUSSION
Discuss general theories of organisational communication.
The general theories of communication that can be applied by various organisations, institutes
and government organisations are Formal Communication and informal communication. Each
form of communication has its various pros an cons. A brief discussion of the general theory of
communication is discussed below.
Formal communication is referred to the flow of communication through a well defined
channel and route. The flow of information in formal communication is deliberate and quite
controlled. A formal communication always takes place in a pre defined hierarchical structure as
well as chain of command. Formal communication can be considered effective as it is systematic
as well as time oriented.
Informal communication is referred to the communication that takes place in a multi
dimensional manner. An informal communication is not bound to follow a specific channel or
route of communication. It can be quicker than the formal communication but there is a
probability of rumours to spread.
Evaluation of barriers of communication that prevented people from getting vaccinated.
It was noticed that most of the people showed resistance towards getting vaccinated. The
reason behind the resistance could be occurrence of various barriers of communication. The
various barriers that prevented people from getting vaccinated are discussed below-
Physical Barriers- Physical barriers might have affected the people going for
vaccination drives as the people are not aware of the procedure of booking vaccines. Also
people have a mentality that the test centres are quite far away from their place and they
might be facing inconvenience to reach the place (Garcia-Sanchez and et.al., 2020).
