INTRODUCTION
Business consulting is a process with help of which the company takes advice from some
experts or professionals in order to improve the performance of the company. In this highly
competitive world the company need assistance in order to manage the performance of the
company in order to improve its working to face the intense competition (Grabowski and
Stawasz, 2017). The present study is based over the company Fairfield School of Business (FSB)
in respect of management of human resource within the company. In the present study client will
be provided with the view of the problem which the company is facing. In addition to this the
research will be undertaken in order to present the importance to the client and in the end the top
three issues will be discussed which client is facing.
MAIN BODY
Details of client and the problem faced by them
In the present case the client is the LSST which is the biggest college in UK but currently
is facing the issues relating to recruitment of the employees. The major reason for this is that the
competition within the market is very high and because of this there are a lot of people entering
in this field and thus this create issues relating to the hiring and retaining to the employees within
the LSST. Further in addition to this the college has further expanded itself in four different
campuses and the college treat its education provider as the asset of the college.
Thus, this is the major issue that is to attract good employees and trainer within the
college and keep them retained within the company. The client that is LSST is a large college
and in that there is very frequent recruitment taking place and this causes long time duration and
for this the most important thing is to manage and retain the employees within the company. This
is pertaining to the fact that if the employees will be retained within the company then this will
save the time of the college in frequently doing the recruitment as they are already having the
employees within the company.
Other than these issues, FSB makes the use of conducting the recruitment drive and try to
retain professional such that they does not face any issues relating to the recruitment and
retention of employees in FSB. Further along with this the FSB also guides the talented people in
order to assist them in pursuing higher education in better and effective manner. Along with this

issue because of the reason that if the college is unable to attract and retain the employees within
the company then this will increase employee turnover within the college and this will have a
direct impact over the working and market reputation of the college. Thus, this problem need to
be solved in effective manner and for this it is broken down in following parts-
Competitors- this is the most important issue which affects the working of the college in
effective and efficient manner (Lee and Seo, 2018). This is particularly because of the reason
that in this highly competitive market there are many of the universities and the colleges which
are also providing the same facilities and courses. Thus, because of this it is possible that the
other colleges also try to attract the employees of LSST. Thus, it is very important for the
colleges to try to effectively attract and retain the employees within the company in the effective
manner. Thus, for this it is the duty of the college to provide some of the benefits which the
college will be providing to the employees in order to keep them attracted towards the college
and not to go anywhere else.
Target people- this is also very important for LSST to focus on competitive and efficient
employees only. This is majorly because of the reason that when the people will not be
competent and capable then it is of no use for the college to retain them. This is majorly
pertaining to the fact that the employees are not capable of doing work in effective manner and
due to this reason it is useless for the college to make efforts in retaining the employees. Thus,
for this it is very important for LSST to majorly focus on retaining the employees who are
having the required set of skills and knowledge. This is due to the reason that when the company
will focus on attracting efficient employees then this will increase the working efficiency of the
employees and as a result of this overall development of the college will take place.
Factors from external environment- this is also a major important factor which affects
and creates problem in managing and retaining the employees within the company. This is
particularly because of the reason that if LSST will not be effectively using the external
environment factors then this will affect working of college to a great extent. Thus, the major

employees are as follows-

within the external environment. This is particularly because of the reason that when the
competition is high then the other college tries to attract the employees within their college.
Thus, for this they try to provide much good and better offers which LSST is providing to their
employees. Thus, because of this the Employees within LSST are changing their job if they are
