Consultants are those which have a specialised knowledge and skills in the particular area.
They are hired by the organisation for providing the solutions and recommendation of the

strategies which can work great for the business(Li and et. al., 2018). Business consulting is
that in which the advisor provides the advice which is in relation with the business. The
consultants are the one who guides the management regarding the changes which needs to be
made in the organisation and also helps in assisting the owner of the business to improve the
performance if they are lacking in something. London school of Science and Technology
(LSST) is the private school which specialises in business management, health, IT and social
care courses and was started in 2003. This report will cover the background of the
organisation and the issues which are faced by the client. It will also cover the identification
of problems with the help of using SWOT, PESTEL and many other.

The London school of Science and Technology (LSST) is the private school which was
founded in 2003 and is located in London,UK(Garbuio and Lin, 2019). The school specialises
in some key areas which includes the IT, business management, Health and social care
courses. The vision of the organisation is to support the students irrespective of their
background which they have come from and their aspirations and capabilities. LSST will
support the students to make them progress in their fields and to develop them in their
learning. The mission of the organisation is to become the institution which is the best in their
courses all over the world. The school does not create any barrier for their students and will
not want the students to face any difficulties in the learning.

The discipline in the organisation is not proper because the students in LSST are facing the
issue of having proper communication and collaboration with their teachers. It might be the
result of not having friendly atmosphere because of which the students are unable to
communicate with their teachers(Santos, Neumeyer and Morris, 2019). The teachers are also
not able to develop the atmosphere which helps to engage the students with their interactive
lessons and interesting activities.

a. Competitor Analysis
 Strengths- The main strengths of the LSST is that the organisation is having the
highly qualified teachers which are having the higher degree in their specialised
fields. The school specialises in its fields and the courses which are being taught
to the students here are different considering with the other.
 Weakness- The main weakness which the students and the teachers are facing is
the communication skills because of which they are not able to collaborate with
one another (Kopnina, 2019). Lack of communication can make the image of the
institution to be the worst because if students and teachers are lacking in
communication then effective results will not be produced.
 Opportunities- To develop friendly behaviour with the students must be the main
priority of the teachers. Teachers must create the environment of the classroom in
such a way that the students engage themselves in the study and communicate
with the teachers if they are facing any difficulty.
 Threats- The main threat which LSST might face is the competition from other
institutions which can enable the students to leave this institution and go to
another. LSST has to improve the atmosphere of the school so that students and
teachers develop good relations with one another.
b. Target Customer Market
 Segmentation- Segmentation means to divide the place which in LSST can be
done in accordance with the geographic dimension which includes the students
places which they have come from. The segmentation of the educational
institution can be done also on the basis of the courses which they have chosen in
the school or in which filed they specialises.
 Targeting- Targeting means to divide the larger group of people into smaller ones
and to focus on the particular group of people. The main target of the students of
LSST is to target the students which are of age group of 18-25. Not just this, the
students are also targeted on the basis of the place from which they have come and
the students who are doing part time job(Kaplan and Haenlein, 2019).
 Positioning- Positioning means where the students have been positioned in
comparison with the other educational institutions. LSST have always been the
best to provide the education to the students in the respective field for which the
institution is famous.

 Threat of new entrants- The institution can face the difficulty of new entrants and the
international institutions which can offer the same courses which are being offered by
LSST. Therefore, the chances of establishment of new institution are higher for the
London school of Science and Technology.
 Threat of substitutes- The LSST provides the degree courses to the students and these
degrees can also be taken at the present time form online (Tuzovic and Paluch, 2018).
Because the time of pandemic has closed all the gates of educational institutions.
 Bargaining power of buyers- The buyers for the educational institutions are the
students and their parents who are always on the high power. The reason because of
which the there is lack of bond between the students and teachers in LSST is the
communication. Parents can take away their students from this institute if this is not
developed and changed.
 Bargaining power of suppliers- The suppliers are the teachers who provide the
knowledge and skills to the students. LSST must offer to the teachers good amount of
salary so that they can give more focus on the students.
 Competition rivalry- The competition will always from the existing educational
institutions which are providing higher degree to the students.

1. PESTEL
 Political factors- The political issue which is faced by the educational institutions
is the rules and the guidelines which has been laid down by the government
(Kuratko and Morris, 2018) . The funding which is provided by the government in
UK is also reducing which is creating the difficulty.
 Economic factors- The students of the country are facing the issue of finances
which has to paid for studying. The fees of LSST are also higher because of which
the students are facing the issue of debt.

 Social factors- Students are focusing on their career and for this they are taking
the admissions in the institutions according to their choices. LSST is providing its
students the courses which are in demand by the students.
 Technological factors- LSST is providing to its students online courses during
the time of pandemic which is helping the students a lot. The use of technology
has been increased in the education sector also and not just the online classes the
learning courses and the work is also submitted by the students online.
 Environmental factors- LSST has banned the use of plastic inside the institution
and is also working hard to make the area greener(Vogelpohl, 2018). By this way,
the instution is working on the protecting and saving the environment.
 Legal factors- There are certain laws which need to be followed by every
educational institution and non-compliance of the laws can create difficulty. LSST
is following the rules which are defined by the government for the educational
institutions.

a. Issue 1
The first issue is the communication which lacks between teachers and students and because
of which they are not able to provide effective results. The reason is that the classroom
environment is not friendly and also teachers are not focusing on building good relations with
students. The students are unable to communicate with the teachers if they are facing any
difficulty in their subjects because of which their grades are impacted. (Schneider,
Brunlehner and Spiekers, 2021).
b. Issue 2
The second issue which the students are dealing with is the mental issues and pressure
which is because of their career. They are facing the difficulty and LSST is also not
providing the counselling which will work best for them and will help the students in
solving their issue. Counselling sessions for the students will help them to come out of the
depression if they are facing any and will also provide them the confidence.

LSST is also not providing these courses for necessary skills which will be useful for the
students for their career and in their job. This is the reason which is why the students are
unable to develop the required skills with their courses. This is because the courses will be
helpful to the students in their career opportunities and with the development of the skills
they can achieve the growth. (Tolstoy, 2019).

From the above report it can be concluded that consultant are the one which provide the
immediate solutions of the problems which is faced by the organisations. They are the
one who help in the accomplishment of the objectives of the organisations and help in
identifying the new skills which can work the best. The consultants work in many fields
and because of which they are wonderful in providing the solution for the problems which
has been faced by the organisations. The organisation can solve the issue only when they
work according to the consultant which has provided the effective solution that can work
amazing for solving the issue.
