order to manage wide number of people in the business. This management approach supports
company to gain competitive advantage from the competitors. It organized to increase
performance in service of a company’s strategic goal (Nurmahmudah and Putra, 2020). HRM

controlling. In addition, they perform other roles such as recruiting, selecting, offering
orientation, imparting, training and development, motivating individuals, maintains proper
relation with the employee. To understand role of HRM has an example two universities i.e.
LSST AND FSB. In this report will provide brief information about the universities and issues
that they are facing.
MAINBODY
Clarify the Client and the issue that they are facing
Overview of LSST
LSST is one of the biggest collages in UK that is facing high competition in the education
market because new entrants have entered in the emerging market. this collage has four
campuses in UK. It is considered it’s education providers as the assets of the collage. It is one of
the major issues that faces by LSST but it can deal with the issue by recruiting and retaining the
professionally qualified applicants who are eligible to offer specialist courses selected through
the management of the collage (Bibi, Ahmad and Majid, 2018). Thus, company can overcome
the issue effectively. In addition, collage can recruit professionals that saves the time and money
rather than to recruit one who is talented but requires to be trained in the form of proficiency
skills. In this case if any candidate comes already trained then collage do not require to train.
Thus, collage require to invest less amount for the training and development program.

issue. Due to this company is facing huge pressure from the competitors in it’s business market.
As know when company does not have good recruitment and selection strategies or policy then it
directly gets negative impact on it’s business performance because it do not get such talented
employee who can shape company in the form of gaining competitive advantages. It indicates
that FSB does not have poor HRM management so they unable to attract best talent towards the
company. To deal with the issue, HR professionals of the company can deal with issues
effectively such as they can conduct recruitment drives. According to the recruitment drives
company requires to select only the best level of the talent in the business. Apart from this
company can adapt different ways in order to attract right talent individual in the higher
education such as conduct carer consoling sessional, personal interaction with the individuals
and students and conducts seminar which ultimately resolve it’s issues.
Critically analysing and presenting areas of importance to the client
There is a lot of competition which is present in the market for FSB because there are a
lot of universities in the city and country which are providing the students with better experience
and higher knowledge. Talent has to be recognised in this field on time so that there is going to
be right level of achievement which would be present. There are right opportunities and
educational background of the teachers is going to be counted in the university so that there is
going to be higher career growth as well (Lowman and Cooper, 2018). The recruitment in the
market has to be done effectively so that there is going to be higher performance which is going
to be present. There are a lot of issues which are rising and they have to be well maintained in
the market which is going to make the students be able to benefit from these factors.
There have to be skilled and experienced professionals which have to be included in FSB
which is going to help the university be able to operate effectively. There is a target which the
university is having in the market and they must be achieved which is going to be good for the
reputation as well of the organization which is very good. Positioning of the company is going to
help the organization be able to have the right recruitment as well which is going to be good for
the university. Teachers have to monitor and control the students from time to time so that the
best can be taken out of them which are going to be good for the reputation of the organization as
well.

There is a lot of influence which is present from outside the university as well which is
going to be present on the students which the teachers have to make sure that they are reduced so
that the best is going to be taken out. The external environment is also going to make the
administration level or management get a lot of changes and adopt a lot of policies as well. The
employees have rights which is that they must be motivated from time to time so that they would
be able to work hard in the university which is going to make the organization have higher
productivity which is going to be present (Biech, 2019).
Top three issues that the client is facing
There are three major issues that are facing by the clients due to this they get negative impact on
their performance in the business market such as:
Poor recruitment and selection
It is one of the major issues that is facing by Fairfield School of Business due to this it
unable to offer better education to the student as well as unable to access on specialized courses.
Due to the poor management, it unable to retain fewer best talents who can shape and pursue the
higher education in the right direction. So, it is important for the HR management of FSB to
bring several changes in the recruitment and selection program so that they can attract and recruit
best talent for the designated posts (Kianto, Sáenz and Aramburu, 2017). They can conduct
several counselling sessional in which could highlight all benefits and the career growth that
affiliated with these professional courses. Another strategy is personally interaction with the
student and individuals whereas HR can directly collect feedbacks from the students and other
senior authorities about their studies and issues which they face interacting with teachers. It will
support HR to recruit only that talent which could support company to achieve it’s goal and fit
for the working environment.
Competition in the emerging market
It is another issue that is facing by the LSST collage currently because many new entrants have
entered in the emerging market. It denotes that client requires to adapt several changes that
ultimately improves it’s competency level in the competition market. However, there are several
reasons due to this company is facing this issue such as less retention of employees, high
investment in T&D, limited the experience of existing staff etc. However, it can deal with this
Document Page
issue productively if company follow several strategies such as it requires to build the great
brand on digital media because currently digital media has become one of the most effective
marketing media (Michael, 2019). It helps companies to build digitalized image in the e-
commerce market and it requires less investment. It should use Artificial Intelligence (AI) that
will support recruiters to find the correct talent more productively. Developing competitive
working environment is another effective strategy that will also influence staff to work
effectively and cannot copy by competitors. Thus, LSST can deal with situation.
High investment in training and development
It is one of the major issues that is also faces by both LSST and FSB so, it is important
for the both clients to recruit such talents who are already enough prepared as resulted they do
not require to trained. Thus, client can differentiate it’s brand image and growth in the business
market.
LO3
Critically analyse a range of secondary research source with the application to the client’s
business
This secondary research source provides more support to collect relevant information
related to client’s business i.e. LSST and FSB. With the support of secondary research sources, I
enable to collect client’s issue due to this, it gets negative image on it’s performance (Nankervis
and et.al., 2019). But the major drawback of the secondary business source, it provides limited
information.
CONCLUSION
From the above report it can be concluded that there is a lot of improvement which is
required in the university level as well. There are a lot of factors which have to be monitored and
considered so that there is going to be higher functioning and reputation of the organization
which is going to be present of the university which would be present in the market. There are
issues which are discussed in the report so that the company can make the right decisions and be
able to operate effectively.
