Topic 6: Innovation and Entrepreneurship
Event: The growth of learning from mobile applications
In the modern generation, a disruptive social innovation concept that flourished like
never before is the usage of mobile applications for learning. Several organizations across the
globe are launching mobile applications Tiny Robot Maker, ABC Kids View, Monster
Chords, Wizard School, Swift Playground, Quick Maths and Star Walk 2 in order to increase
the student’s ability of learning. However the concept was present but in recent time it got
significant exposure in the modern world with the increment in the selling of the mobile and
laptops. This is significant in attracting the attention of the entrepreneurs as the concept was
used in a limited manner for business conduction. Following the concept of the
entrepreneurship, Drucker (2014), commented that the model is able to achieve high
standards from a significantly small base.
But with the briefing of the concept, two questions that become crucial is what are the
benefits from the innovation for the society? and why entrepreneurs would have considered
the model.
According to the study of Mehdipour & Zerehkafi (2013), the benefits will be the
availability of 24/7, the increased parent teacher communication, proper utilization of the
leisure time, the avoidance of the fixed teaching sessions and the increased amount of usage
of the online resources.
These benefits are significant for the customer in availing the concept as the base of
their study which is instrumental in triggering the entrepreneurs to follow the model.

Topic 7: Knowledge Management, Technology and E-commerce
Event: Restructuring of the supply chain management
Chaffey (2015), claims that the application of the e-commerce is significant in the
supply chain management as the organizations are significantly focusing in the proper
creation of the stock and managing the supply of the products or services. The modern day
organizations are subjected to intense market competition which forces the organizations to
concentrate more on following the preferences of the customers. Christopher (2016), firmly
believes that these organizations use the technology and the trends of the customers to create
a breathing space for them. Hence the involved parties like suppliers, manufacturers or the
store managers need to exchange the knowledge of the customers’ preferences among them
in order to produce same quality of products which will be able to increase the customer
loyalty.
The question is how to do so and why technology is needed to be used.
In order to manage the exchange of knowledge or information, the application of
Radio Frequency Identification Scanners (RFID) tags or barcodes will be significant. The
stored information of the products that is getting sold out on repetitive manner will be
detected by the point-of-sales (POS) scanners and the information will be easily shared to the
involved parties via Enterprise Resource Planning or ERP along with the application of the
Internet.
The presence of the technology is significantly needed in the form of the internet for
the exchange of the information or the management of the knowledge.
Topic 8: Regionalisation and Globalisation
Event: Increment in Offshore Manufacturing and Outsourcing

The concept of the regionalisation is applicable in understanding the event as it is a
major aspect of the term globalisation. Globalisation helps in the integration of different
people, organizations or governments and the mentioned entities are usually divided due to
the application of the concept of Regionalisation. According to gozgor & ranjan (2017), in
organizational context, globalisation is able to serve the concepts of offshore manufacturing
and the outsourcing which the modern day organizations are significantly using for the
generation of more revenue.
The question arises how it is able to do so and what the benefits for the organizations
are in taking this.
According to the study of Ellram, Tate & Petersen (2013), the concept of offshore
manufacturing is a result of the globalisation which enables the organization to create
significant increment in their revenue. Considering an organization, belonging to the up-scale
market, inherits the offshore manufacturing which will be relocating to a mid-market will
eventually be able to reduce the operation cost of the production. This will be significant in
increasing the margin of profit. The outsourcing also enables an organization that is thinking
of the issues of creating infrastructure in the new market, ignore the concern as the
application of the concept will be handful in creating substitute option for the creation of
infrastructure.
Topic 9: Cross Cultural Issues, Diversity and International management
Event: Decreasing efficiency of the multinational organizations
The modern day multinational organizations are observed to be affected a lot due to
the cultural differences of their employees. As the multinational organizations experience the
service of the employees of different culture, nationality and backgrounds, it is significantly
observed that the employees who are outsiders of the host nation culture face immense

difficulty in getting integrated to the employees of the new culture. Hence the effective team
work of the employees gets highly hampered and that is instrumental in the decreasing
overall efficiency of the organization.
The question is what will be solution and how to remove the cultural differences.
Thomas & Peterson (2017), confirms that there is no better option for the
management of the multinational organizations than implementing trainings like language
learning or the cultural assimilation processes for the employees of different culture. The
organization must make sure that the active participation of the employees in the social and
cultural activities of the new culture is achieved.
