Film or cinema is described as an art form that makes a huge impact on the minds of
people (Crystal, 2013). It is observed that for the making of a film, it goes through three vital
phases. During this period, a group of people come together to form a working organisation
that has characteristics obstacles of motivation, structure and leadership. Therefore, it is a
temporary organisational unit where a group of individuals collaborate and create an
innovative product in the form of films or cinemas (Burke & Morley, 2016). For any
organisation to accomplish its goals and objectives, creativity and innovation plays a
significant role. I believe that implementation of creative ideologies gives rise to innovation.
Therefore, the contribution of creativity, innovation and design plays an effective role in
creating an artistic form of a film. It is observed that in the production and post-production
phase of a film production the role of sound and lighting plays a significant role. It is here
where the people involved in this department applies creative ideas that gives rise to
innovation in itself. In my opinion, creativity and innovation are fundamental part of the same
process. In the course as well a close relation between creativity and innovation has been
established that is similar to my ideology of creativity and innovation.
In my course, a contemporary perception of creativity, innovation and design is
covered. It has efficiently helped me to realise the significance of creativity, innovation and
design in a business organisation. In my opinion, the contemporary business market is highly
competitive and in order to survive and gain success in such competitive industry, an
organisation has to deliver creative and design innovative solutions or services that stands out
from the rest of the competitors (Anderson, Potočnik & Zhou, 2014). This course has
provided me to instigate innovation and creativity in myself and approaches with the help of
which I could implement in my performance. For instance, in an individual level factors such
as motivation, cognition ability, personality, influence the creativity and innovation.
Similarly, the course helps to identify other factors as well in organisational and group level
