INTRODUCTION
Corporate Social Responsibility can be explained as how organizations manage their
business operations to produce an positive impact on the society or community. CSR (Corporate
Social Responsibility) is an internal companies policy or corporate ethic strategy which help the
business associates to build positive image in the eyes of the customer's. This plays a important
role in the business as it help the business associates to build strong business reputation in the
market, increase sales volume of the product, raise customer loyalty and uplift brand recognition
in the global market. This report includes the meaning of literature review and Corporate Social
responsibility and how it can be achieved to have better functioning in the business. Also,
literature review is done by six distinguished authors on Corporate Social responsibility and has
shared their viewpoints regarding this topic.

1) Meaning of Literature Review and how it can be achieved ?
Literature Review can be explained as a scholarly paper which involve present
knowledge including substantive findings as well as methodological and theoretical findings on
a specific topic. In other words it can be said that it is a collective summary of critical points on a
particular topic. Organization is benefited by the literature review as provides complete
knowledge regarding the topic and provides solutions to critical issues emerged from the past
research. It helps the firm to get better resolutions on the issues which directly help the firm to
reduce employees turn out ratio in the business (Cottrell, 2017).
A good literature not only just summarizes the literature it highlights the methodological
problems and critical issues regarding the topic which helps the readers to understand better and
the outcome turn out to be relevant. The basic types of literatures are as follows: Fiction, non-
fiction, drama and poetry and each one of them are distinguished in their own style like, matter,
subjects, structures and the way of using figurative languages. This a secondary sources and do
not report anything original or new experimental work in their research. It helps to build strong
knowledge in the specific filed as deep study is done by the researcher which helps the
organization to minutely understand the weaknesses and strengths of the particular topic. Firm
does this type of research to find out the loop holes of the other competitors in the market and try
to make that error or mistakes as their opportunities. It also guides the business associates to

evaluate better customers needs, demand and preferences in the dynamic environment. In
Literature review comparison is done from the past research to find solutions for the conflicts
that has emerged from the discussion which helps the business to explore more ion the global
market as well as targets can be achieved on time. While doing this type of research they all need
to be supported by references to published statistical literature so that readers can get relevant
sources to evaluate the specific topic which will uplift their knowledge.

explained with the help of an example: Suppose a theorem is stated in the topic then researcher
need not to present a proof of stated theorem in the research paper. In this generally assume the

associates provide a sense of responsibilities to all the employees of an firm to contribute
towards environment and society. On the other hand it can be said that it allows business to be
bit responsible towards society, community, environment and customers so that smooth
functioning of the organization can de done in the market for longer time duration. It sates that
doing something for the society, customers and stakeholders not only uplift the firm to new level
but also ensures long term growth and expansion in the market. Customers develop a positive
sign or feeling for a brand which contributes some amount of profits, free services etc. in
planting trees, educating poor children free of cost, hiring or providing people with job
opportunities according to their skills, bringing electricity connections in rural areas etc. and so
on. Organization should not do corporate social responsibilities for the sake of publicity among
people it should be done because business believe in doing this type of moral cause. CSR
activities followed by the business associates help the society or community to uplift the living
standards of the people as well as environment and make it a better place to live.

of CSR is important because if the responsibilities are not carried out then there will be
exploitation of resources as well as human resource (Wibrowski and Kitsantas, 2017). The
fulfilment of the CSR activities help the business to grow and success in the market for longer
time duration. Which directly help to build strong relation with the customers and business
associates can easily capture more market ratio within the boundaries of the nation. With small
amount of contribution in the community development leads a organization to flourish in the
market and can bind customers to purchase their product. Contributing or helping the people
around the environment indirectly motivates employees to work hard and bring out effective
results to meet the desired goals on time.

when a organization direct in an legal and ethical sustainable way and deals with social impact
and environment. There are various benefits of Corporate Social Responsibility which can be
explained as, it is helpful in improving the public image in the eyes of the customer's as small
step towards contributing to society ensure people that brand is committed to helping other. It
also help in cost saving as by the simple change in sustainability like, less use of packaging will
help the business to reduce production costs. Another benefits of the CSR is that it act as an
advantages over competitors for other business as following this type of activities towards
environment makes the firm one step ahead in the market by considering environmental and
social factors. Every small or big or small organization needs to follow corporate social
responsibilities so that good brand image can be created among general public and society is
also indirectly benefited by this small step of the business. Business associates need to follow
this activities from within the heart not for sake of name as it is indirectly beneficial to the
organization as well as the community. It's because of the society the product of the firm is still
existing in the market and business is able to generate huge profits out of it for it's expansion and
growth in the international market.

as it not only beneficial to the environment it is beneficial to the organization itself. Every
business is running in the market to gain huge market ratio and also to maximize huge profit very
few organization are there who are actually willing to take responsibilities towards environment
and society. Example: Addidas company is making it's shoes out of plastic by recycling the
plastics found in the oceans, rivers, seas etc. which is helping the firm as by this step it become
competitors for other companies working in the market and goodwill of the brand raised one step
ahead in the global market.

firm faces certain issues like, global climate changes which is taking place due to the continuous
emission of carbon dioxide and harmful gases in the environment. The major reason for pollution
of water, land, air and noise is the manufacturing or production industries . Huge amount of
wastage material is bumped in the seas and lakes which are getting polluted and many species
are in danger due to the high level of pollution in the water. Example: Petroleum refiners not
only release harmful greenhouse gases in the environment but also sell out heating fuel and
gasoline in huge quantity in the market which make additional pollution in the air by burning
petrol in trucks, car and cooking oil in kitchen or home. The tremendous use of this gases in the
society is increasing the pollution rate in the atmosphere and has become the raising concern for
everyone to control it so have a healthy environment. Every business is taking steps to find
alternate ways to reduce the pollution level in the environment to sustain in the trading market.

workplace it directly motivates employees to work efficiently and effectively. The integration of
economic, social and environmental upliftments through CSR makes the working area more
sound and effective for better outcome. Firm should also involve it's employees to be part of

the society. Timely encourage employees referrals as it prompt the employees to work more
expeditiously and business associates should recognize the efficient employees loyalty to retain
them in the business for better results.

From the above discussion it can be concluded that if firm does literature review it will
help the organization with better solution for the past conflicts. This provides comprehensive
summary of the topic from the past research which help the organization to work on minute
errors to sustain in the market for long time duration. Corporate social responsibilities is
performed the firm as an obligations towards society to increase brand recognition in the eyes
