including marketing and sales to the customer service. Fostering a culture that encourages
organisation ability to share information will benefit business in filling up information gaps,

In an organisation, information sharing describes the interchange of data between various
people, processes and technologies in an organisation. It encourages free exchange of
information across various channels that help in various management decisions and strategies
(Lawson et al, 2009). The development of information sharing platforms in an organisation is
playing a vital role in eliminating communication impairments and incrementing the
efficiency of information sharing in the organisation. Another impact of instilling an
information sharing culture is that it allows the managers to discover the existing knowledge
gaps within the organisation and the loopholes in the current learning programs. The impact
of culture can also be seen while constructing a supportive corporate community facilitating
businesses in looking for knowledge and collecting information at a fast pace and thus ensure
the relevancy and consistency of the information being shared.

community and trust in the workplace and to boost the employee efficiency. At last, it will
help the organisation to save various costs as well as time associated with information
sharing.
This will surely help business to decrease their corporate silos and encourage transparency
