Introduction
The decision-making process is a method that helps me to provide my feelings regarding any
situation. By decision style instrument I have selected my preferred decision style that will help
me in future to achieve my goals. Furthermore, my shadow type and own type domain and
strategies of self-development will also be discussed in this paper.
Decision preference test results
The decision style instrument helps me to realize my decision-making preferences, and from this,
I have gained that balance decision style preferable for me among all other styles. Balance
decision style provides opportunities for logical and higher contribution to the decision making
procedure (Betsch, 2014). I have selected my preferable decision-making style after learning all
the styles of decision making that includes logical and intuition styles along with the balance
styles. From all these styles I have gained that balance style of decision provides me a chance for
better commitment while applying any sorts of the decision. In addition, this style also helps me
to interact with the persons that affected by ultimate decisions. Besides this, with the help of this
balance decision style, I can choose the correct decision in a logical and balanced manner so that
no one will eventually hurt my the particular decision. I have seen that while finding a proper
solution for a serious issue, many other unwanted challenges are formed at the same time.
Therefore, in order to overcome such challenges as well as issues the balance decision-making
style is chosen as the best because it helps me to give a result on a balanced manager so that no
one will be offended by the decision.
From the three decision-making styles, I have calculated the mean value of the three styles and
comparing these values I will clear about my preferable decision style. After calculating the
values, I have seen that in intuition, balance and consistent style I have achieved a mean value of
24, 46 and 31 respectively. Therefore, from these values, I have cleared that balance style is my
preferable decision style and it helps me to achieve my career goals in the future too. Although I
have to improve my decision-making capabilities so that I can face every challenge relating to a
decision without any hesitation.

Reflection on decision diary
From all decision style, I chose the balance decision style and accordance with that I prefer to act
on the decisions that look right rather than those feel right. I have preferred this because it does
not force me to follow any sort of logic while making the decision. This help to provide possible
consequences and portable results that should be suitable for the preferred decision (Mardani,
Jusoh & Zavadskas, 2015).
While making any sort of decision, I have eagerly trusted my gut feelings, and this helps me to
take the correct decision in a difficult situation. The gut feelings help to provide a decision on the
basis of logic to act instantly in any worse condition (Spreng, Karlawish & Marson, 2016).
I am always motivated and encouraged by my classmates and others for my preferable decision-
making approach. Balance decision style help to reason by considering some variable of the
situations, analyze and arrange them to get the correct procedure to reach the particular
conclusion (Alavi, Rezaei, Valaei & Wan Ismail, 2016).
In justifying my decisions, I mainly prefer to be objective so that I can avoid personal emotions,
interests, viewpoints of other peoples. According to the author Zsambok, (2014), to stick in the
decision, it is important not to calculate others emotional context because it sometimes forces a
person to change the particular decision.
According to my view, emotional responses sometimes make a person weak in accordance with
the decision, so I mainly do not respond to emotional context. Though in some situations I have
counted my emotional context to solve the issue because it is challenging to identify and manage
the emotional responses. Emotions decrease the limits of reasoning sense and help the person to
think logically (Juanchich, Dewberry, Sirota & Narendran, 2016). So I can say that emotion also
provides a positive impact on the decision style of an individual.
Decision styles feedback
From the sixteen personality tests I have gained an idea about my own type and shadow type
side. The test helps me to know that I have possessed a unique personality of strong views and
fighting spirit which help me to stick to my decision. Own type personality means the characters
that possess strong and decisive willpower of individual and utilize it for their purposes (Atadil,
Sirakaya-Turk & Decrop, 2017). In concerning to that I have gained that thinking, introversion,

On the other hand, shadow type personality is likely to be the measure that creates worsen
salutation for persons and blames them about their particular decisions (Bavol'ar & Orosova,

Conclusion
The paper reflected that balance decision style is my preferred style, but I have faced some
problem while using this particular style. Therefore, I have to improve myself in this style, and
for this reason, I have taken part in several feedback sessions where the mentors help me to
develop my decision-making ability.
Recommendations
It is recommended that before taking any decisions, I have interacted with the team or groups so
that I can easily take my preferred decision. It is also suggested that I have to be less impulsive
and take my decision more carefully so that no one will eventually hurt by the particular
decision.
