In 21st century, the fast changing workplace demands in greater flexibility in ways of
doing work by an individuals and teams for creating and implementing decisions. At the
workplace, I had made a decision for providing training to the existing employees for adopting
digital technology as per the fast changing demands of workplace. The change was required for
the employees to make them understand about the variations in workplace demand. During this
period, I understand that decision making is the major skill at the workplace and important for
managers in making managerial decision. It is also necessary in day to day life of an employee or
manager. Decision making is a key skill for the successful management and leadership. I came to
know that the employees are not taking the decisions effectively as a leader because of lack of
capacity and knowledge.
During one week period, I had made a big decision such as appointing expert employees
for providing training to the existing employees for handling their job digitally instead of doing it
manually. I had made a decision to appoint experts for the existing employees as this cause high
cost of appointment and consumed time for searching expert who has expertise in assessing the
digital technology. All these changes are required at the workplace as the working systems has
been changed globally and digital technology facilitate the operation of business and make it
more flexible in the course of productivity as well as profitability, so for the existing employees
training must be provided to them for using technologies to perform their task as it will reduce
their time for completing the task and accuracy in delivering their task. In order to increase the
efficiency and effectiveness for completing the task it was required to provide training to existing
employees for using the digital technology.
In my preferences, decision making is done by identifying the nature of the problems or
situations which arise while providing the training to the existing employees from the expertise
and I had selected best possible array of alternative solution that is arranging seminars on
monthly basis regarding the digital technology and its operation in the business. In different
situations, I make preferences to use the decision tree analysis to cope up with the difficult
situation and successfully identify the issue and alternative solution for the same so that the
chances of occurring such issue are less at that point. The decision tree analysis model helps me
to come at an objective result to the occurred problems.

I have analytical personality style as I give emphasis on the facts which are based on
introverts. On constant basis, I assess to identify the advantage and disadvantages and creates a
lists of the things which requires the action on behalf of company for the personal and
professional growth. My strength is to focus within the company instead of outside the company,
quickly give response to the issues or problems comes in the company, arrange and train others
regarding the new digital technology by providing professionals to existing employees so that
they can learn how to assess the system and become analytical and creative and also adaptive to
the new digital technology suggested to them (Harrison, Et al, 2018).
My analytical type of personality and the strengths affects my style of decision-making as
it is analytical. I preferred to use direct observation to determine the possible results. I encounter
single issue which consumes time since I look for better alternative before coming to the
conclusion. Due to this personality style, I have capability to adapt with the variations. It
increases the risk taking ability and decision making skill within the company. My strengths
plays a big role in increasing the skills of decision-making.
I took a feedback from five classmates via questionnaire method by sending an email to
them for taking feedback on the decisions which I had made as the decisions are actually
effective for the company or may cause negative results for the company. Three classmates give
positive response to my decision and express that it will help the employees in future progress.
Two classmates did not give positive response as there decision making style is different from
my style and different level of perception but I consider their feedback also and make those
changes which give value to my decision and employees also (Ishizaka, 2018).
I used secondary source of data such as original documents, development and growth
related articles for getting the information and take decision on basis of those sources. I took
feedbacks from my classmates by using surveys, visits for getting their own views on my big
decision made for the company. (Klein, 2009).
I used decision making tree tool to make suitable and appropriate decision. It assist me to
contemplate every possible alternative. It makes easy for me to make effective analytical
decisions. It assist me to layout the issue of providing proper training to existing employees

regarding digital technology so that these alternatives can be confronted (Dhami, & Thomson,
2012).
The decision which I had made for the business helped in enhancing the growth and
productivity of the employees as well as company. It also helped the existing employees to
develop and grow their skills on computer and save time on their work. The training of existing
employee is worth for longer time for the company as they become experts in tackling digital
technology and accomplish task through this technology in minimum time that leads to success
and took less time to attain the company goals. The training provided the employees gives them
an opportunity to develop their operational and managerial skills to work on new technologies
and become professionals (Akinici, & Sadler-Smith, 2012).
The significance or importance of decisions in business is to become successful and
achieve the goals and objectives and to perform several functions at managerial level. It assist in
proving training in such a way that leads to successful operational functioning of the business by
use of digital technology (Beshears, & Gino, 2015).

analytics is the important at the time of process of making decision within the company
regarding the matters of digital operations. I utilize this data analytics to accomplish the
requirements of the business at good for the future. It is an active approach. It is seen that
companies currently come to a situation when they require data analytics that is advanced and
selected to adopt that successfully.
