INTRODUCTION
In nowadays, it is identifying that organisations are facing many challenges and problems
due to the intense competition. Every organisation wants that they will achieve their goals and
objectives but for that purpose, they need to do something different which assists in gaining
competitive advantage. For the development of success in business, development of business
skills is very necessary. With the assistance of developing business skills, a company is able to
grow and success in the market (Piispanen, Paloniemi and Simonen, 2017). There are many
important skills necessary for organisations' success such as communication, leadership,
emotional intelligence, decision making, creativity, etc. In these business skills, communication
is one of the most important skill which should be possess by each and every employees in the
organisation (Lawson and et.al., 2019). Communication is crucial for employees in the
workplace in order to complete their set targets. There is a discussion of importance of
communication with the help of using credible sources in the form of literature review.

Literature Review
In today's business environment, the success of organisation is depending on the
development of business skills. It is found by organisations that effective communication is
crucial for the success of business (How Effective Communication Will Help an Organization,
2019). Communication has mainly three important functions in organisation that are transmission
of information, coordination, and sharing of feelings and emotions. Communication is the two
way process which include two or more person who share their opinions and ideas in the
workplaces. For organisations, they need to make ensure that they are providing enough liberty
to their employees so they will give their feedback. This will assists in solving the issues of
organisations. Communication is defined as the process in which two or more people involved in
this process. There are two important persons that are sender and receiver who communicate
with each other. Effective communication can be possible only when receiver is giving feedback
to the sender (Sharma and Shivakumar, 2019). There are also two important elements which
should be involve in the process of communication that are message and channel. Message is the

reason of communication and channel is the medium of transmitting the message by sender to
receiver.
According to Al Amirul Eimer Ramdzan Ali and Zolkarnain, there are mainly two types
of communication that are verbal and non verbal. Verbal communication involves written and
spoken in which written can be possible by emails, text messages, newspapers, books, diaries,
etc. Whereas spoken is in the form of chatting with people, audiobooks, TV podcasts, TV voice-
overs, radio, etc. On the other hand non verbal communication, it includes facial expressions,
body languages, tone of voice, style of dress, and actions with messages. It is necessary for
people to possess effective communication skills as it is required in every place. The main
purposes of communication are conveying message and feelings to other people.
According to Ortiz, 2020, communication is contributing in the success of business. It is
identified by organisations that effective communication reduces misunderstandings among
employees and give freedom to employees to share their views and knowledge in an effective
way. This also becomes very helpful for improving relationships of employee and employer.
Employees get clear instructions from their senior management because of effective
communication which results in achievement of targets and goals within time. It is very
important for organisations that they should take initiatives in order to develop this business
skills. Organisations need to make ensures about the development of effective communication in
workplaces as it provides a great contribution in the success of company. Communication is
becoming most important business skills which should be develop if company wants to grow.
Employees of organisations are not able to do their work if they have not possess this business
skills. Communication need is found in every place or field. This is the reason that companies
need to develop this business skills. It is found by organisations that communication is very
crucial for the purpose of collaboration and coordination between team members.
This is the reason that companies need to develop this business skills in order to ensure
the success and growth of organisation. It is very crucial for organisations that they should
provide training program to the employees so that they will be make the successful business.

CONCLUSION
It can be concluded from the above discussion that business skills are very important for
organisation in order to get success. Communication is found to be most crucial business skills
which should be possess in every employee of organisations, it is analysed from this literature
review that communication is becoming the necessary business skills that ensure the successful
growth of an organisation. It is found by organisations that communication is the two way
process so that's why it is crucial for company to take feedbacks from their employees. This will
assists in analysing employees' behaviour and thoughts. Companies will be able to know the
factors that affect the performance of employees with the assistance of effective communication.
This literature review also found the types of communication that are verbal and non verbal.
People uses both types of communication in the organisations in order to convey the messages to
other person. Verbal communication includes written and spoken both, whereas non verbal
communications includes facial expressions, body languages, etc. It is also analysed from the
above discussion that companies are able to resolving their conflicts and misunderstandings with
the assistance of effective communication. There are many benefits found by organisations of
communications that involves increase in morale, motivation, productivity, performances,
achievement of set targets and goals, decreasing in misunderstandings, conflicts, etc. These all
things are assisting an organisation to achieve their goals effectively and efficiently. That means
an organisation is able to gain competitive advantage with the development of this business
skills. Organisations are also able to grow in the marketplace as they know that effective
communication improves their relationships with the employees as well as customers. These are
the reason that companies need to develop this skills in their employees.
