What did you learn from this activity?
From this video, I have learnt that, develop a network of people in a gathering through face to face interaction is a
commercial skill. In order to learn this skill, four key principles one needs to know are
1. Know-Fist and one of the most important principles. According to the video in order to follow the fist principle , one
has to choose a group for interaction wisely. This video talks about choosing an open group with at least three persons,
one of whom should be a woman.
2. Like- Second most important principle. This principle states that, in order to make myself interesting to other people,
first I need to show interest in the talks of the people of that open group which I have joined.
If one is able to follow the first two fundamental principles, the next two principles
3. Trust and
4. Buy
Will be followed with the natural flow of interaction (YouTube, 2019).
How did you feel when doing the networking?
Previously I did not know the tricks of doing a successful networking. Hence, I used to feel awkward as I was
unable to interact with unknown people, unable to make them listen to me. After knowing about the skills of networking I
feel very confident while doing networking (YouTube, 2019).

What will you do differently next time?
Next time I will try to follow all four principles while interacting with unknown people in a meeting or a party. I
will not try to show off myself in order to get their attention, rather I will listen to their talks and show my interest in the
topic they are discussing about (YouTube, 2019).
Did you apply the principles of Know Like Trust Buy?
Being a marketing person often I have to attend meetings. Recently I attended a meeting. My purpose to join the
meeting was to interact with people and talk about our company and make other attendees of the meeting who were from
different companies interested to make deal with my company. In that meeting I first make friendship with the open
groups I have joined and applied the principles of ‘Know’, ‘Like’, ‘Trust’, ‘Buy’ to make them interested about my
company and finalise deals (YouTube, 2019).
Did you learn some surprising fact about any of the participants?
I learnt that the participants in the conversation are eager make friendship rather than business relations (YouTube, 2019).
Has this changed your confidence in being able to participate in networking at a real
event?
Learning of such simple but vital tricks of networking has provided me enough strength of mind, confidence to
participate in networking at a real event. It has made me determined to carry on effective communication and represent
myself in a better way to unknown persons (YouTube, 2019).
