1REFLECTION ON EXPERIENCE
Reflection refers to serious thought that can help an individual in analysing an event.
Reflection helps an individual in describing an event and the impression that it creates on the
mind of the person who has undergone that experience (Cohen 2017). This essay reflects on
the manner of approaching the problem and states the reason of approaching the problem in
that manner. It reflects on the feelings that I felt while doing the work. It talks about the
strategies that that I learnt in the event of completion of the assignment. It elaborates on the
things that I would do differently if I have to do the same task again. It also discusses about
the lessons that were learnt when doing the assignment.
The problem was approached by thinking about the function of Ox Car in Australia
that is instrumental in sponsoring loans for the vehicles within Australia. It then throws light
on the reasons that would cause federal government to invest in the Oz-car company. It then
shed light on different factors like public safety, technological advancement, sustainability
and less labour cost that would compel the federal government to support the cause of Oz car
company. I adopted a methodological and logical approach that helped me in working out the
assignment (Van Manen 2016). A rational approach was adopted by me that helped me in
proceeding with the assignment and finding the key answers to the problems. I stated how the
innovation pertaining to the operations of driverless car within Australia would help in
answering of some grave problems in the society.
In the initial stage of doing the assignment, I felt overloaded as there were lots of
information and I was confused regarding which would prove to be the more valuable
information. I was hence stressed when I started off with the assignment as I had to complete
the task within a short time frame of 3 days. It was important to separate the valuable
information from that of the ones that were less important and hence this took up a large
amount of time. In the event of chalking out the manner that I would undertake to approach
the assignment I felt calm and relieved (Fard, Talebinezhad and Eghlidi 2017). This is an

innovative topic that has drawn the attention of various researchers. They have talked about
the potential benefits along with the issues that can rise owing to the advent of the pollution
less cars.
It was a library based assignment and it helped me in learning research skills. It has
sharpened my ability of judging that can help me in separating the important points from the
ones that are less important. It helped me in learning critical thinking skills that helped me in
assessing the value of information. It helped me in nurturing the skills of time management
and helped me in developing organisational skills. I learnt how to find the find the source that
can help me in providing valuable information. I learnt the skill pertaining to the using of the
accurate information in the projects and the reports. It taught me the skill of presenting the
ideas and helped me in learning how to evaluate a resource (Turner 2017). It helped me in
learning how to weigh advantages and disadvantages in relation to a project. The assignment
imbibed within me decision-making skills and helped me in learning how to make argument
that can appeal to the readers (Thudt 2018). The decision-making skills can be applied within
the framework of an organization and hence it can greatly help me in my professional
development.
In the event of doing the assignment again there would be certain things that I would
do in a different manner. I would take the help of other people that would help me in getting a
broad picture regarding the subject (Tsang 2017). I would be able to use the information that
other people have provided to me that can help in improving the quality of my assignment.
There are certain information that other people have that may not be there in the journals and
in the internet sources and it would help in improving the quality of my work (Hannon 2018).
I learnt from the experience that the applying of analytical along with critical skills
can greatly help in improving the quality of work of an individual. It can help one in the

aspect of evaluation and extracting relevant information for a particular work. I learnt from
the experience that effective management of time can greatly help an individual in his work. I
was able to learn in the course of this assignment that it was important to prioritise things that
can help an individual in completion of work within a stipulated period of time. The
experience has taught me that researching skills can prove to be crucial for the success of a
work (Körkkö, Kyrö-Ämmälä and Turunen 2016). The learning can be applied to our career
as the analytical and critical thinking skills can help me in my professional growth. It can
help me in organizing my work that will enable me to perform my work in an efficient
manner in the organization.
Reflection is indicative of consideration that can be of use for an individual for the
analysis of an event. A logical approach was made use of by me for doing the assignment.
Rational approach helped me in doing the assignment and it helped me in finding relevant
answers to problems. In the event of starting the assignment, I used to feel overloaded as
there were a lot of available information on the topic. I was confused regarding which were
the information that I should keep and which information can be discarded while doing the
assignment. I learnt how to make use of accurate information while doing the projects. I think
that taking the help of other people can help in improving quality of my work. It could have
helped me in getting a broader picture about the subject. The learning would be able to help
me in my career as the critical thinking skills can help in the professional growth of an
individual. The analytical skills can also be used to bolster my professional growth.
