INTRODUCTION
Assessment means the act of assessing something. The Report will outline whether
assisted dying is to be legal, meaning of globalization, evaluating effectiveness of CSR and
should business ban the box.
Should assisted dying be legal ?
The term assisted dying includes both voluntary euthanasia and physician assisted suicide
and the current version of the bill is only related with physician assisted suicide. Arguments
supporting assisted dying suggests that even with good palliative care, there are still those
patients who make a request to medical professionals for euthanasia. Some people believe that,
people have right to choose when to die. Supporters of law of euthanasia believes that,
permitting patients to die with dignity is kinder as compared with forcing them to live their life
with the suffering of disease. Moreover, some people believe that assisted dying can be safely
regulated by the legislations of the government. Modern palliative care helps to reduce the level
of terminal suffering but it not always provides complete relief of distressing symptoms.
Therefore, patients requests for assisted deaths are more prevalent (Dyer, 2016).
The arguments against assisted dying is that alternative treatments such as hospices and
palliative care are also available to the patients. Therefore, there is no need to kill the patient to
kill the symptoms. Further, all types of pain can be relieved. Furthermore, it is believed that,
people cannot truly control it (Dyer, White and Rada, 2015).
Explaining globalisation
Globalisation refers to the process of integration among the people, government and
companies across the world. It is been counted as the form of the capitalist expansion that entails
an integration of the national and the local economies within a global and non-regulated market
economy (Potrafke, 2015). With the changing world, it has been grown because of the advances
in the communication and the transportation technology. Along with an increased level of global
interactions, growth of the international trade, culture and ideas is been reflected. Primarily it is
been considered as an economic process of an integration and an interaction that is attached with
the social and the cultural aspect. Moreover, globalisation means spread of the products,
information, technology and the jobs across different cultures and the national borders. In terms
of economic aspect, it mainly describes interdependence of the nations worldwide that has been
fostered through the free trade (Perraton, 2019). Globalisation helps in raising living standard in

the poor and developing countries with improved access to the goods and the services.
Globalisation motives are tended to be idealistic and opportunistic but development of the
globalised market had benefited larger organisations on the basis of the western world. Thus, it is
the process that has a great impact on environment, political systems, culture on the prosperity
and economic development in the community across the globe (Hopper, Lassou and
Soobaroyen, 2017). There are different types of globalisation that covers all the significant
aspect that is financial, technological, political, Economic, sociological and Ecological.
Evaluating effectiveness of CSR
According to Lins, Servaes and Tamayo, (2017), it has been represented that Corporate
social responsibility is said to be effective as it directly enhances the reputation and the brand
image of an organization. Employees prefers to perform their task with excellence for the
environmentally and the socially responsible corporations and this in turn enables the firm in
attracting the best talent. However, CSR could be interpreted in several ways by different people
across and this indirectly causes high level of frustration specifically for the managers who desire
to clear concepts similar to the balances and the figures. Furthermore, McWilliams, (2015),
reviewed that CSR is the most essential part of the business strategy that helps in incorporating
the activity from all part of business because of the motivational benefits of the workforce. CSR
assist in improving the sales, motivation, profits and community as a whole. Malleability of CSR
makes it difficult in internationalizing a meaning which reveals that company is not responsible
in any aspect tat is socially, politically and ethically as per confusing and the conflicting norms
of society. On the other hand, CSR could be result of perhaps the recycling efforts that saves
cost and competitive differentiation from the improved brand reputation. Financial performance
and effective marketing strategy of CSR highly depends on the effectiveness of the CSR.
Company that follows corporate social responsibility creates greater ability of an enterprise in
attracting larger talent and in retaining the staff. It also provides for easy access to the capital and
leads the company in achieving growing success in the future.
Why companies should ban the box ?
The purpose of banning the box is to support people with criminal records to access the
labour market in an easy manner by removing the major barriers that is box an employment
application that requires candidate to disclose criminal history. Checking the box can leads to
rejection of applicants before employer even check the criminal records in entire manner. The

policy assist employers to not discriminate against individuals that has criminal records during
the process of hiring and recruiting. Ban the box policy does not restrict the employer from
inquiring in respect of criminal records entirely. Rather, it delays the process of inquiry later in
the hiring process once. Company has an opportunity to determine the applicants on the basis of
their merits. The law of ban the box focuses on restricting employers from discarding candidates
in initial process of screening because of arrest or conviction before they have opportunity to
consider the individual based on job related applicants (Agan and Starr, 2017).
Removing the barriers for re-entry of candidates with criminal records is an important
factor to create reforms in the system of justice. It provides employment opportunities to people
with criminal records by not permitting employers to ban these candidates from employment.
Companies should not follow the ban the box law because the consequences of ban the box are
many and it move in counter to its goal of minimizing the racial disparities in employment
(Doleac and Hansen, 2017).

From the above Report it has been concluded that, some people believe that assisted
dying can be safely regulated by the legislations of the government, globalization has a great
effect on environment, culture on the prosperity, political systems and economic development in
the community across the globe. Ban the box often delays the process of inquiry later in the
hiring process.
