It has been good working with your firm and specifically being a part of the
Technology and Design Team. I appreciate your idea of adopting new technologies as this
should be every organization’s priority to keep up with the advancements in the technology.
The new technology selected by you is Notepad++ and which I would suggest is Eclipse.
Some reasons for this choice of mine will be given so and hope that it convinces you.
Issues to explore
The major issues that will be considered in this case are the functionality of both these
software in the operations of Macey’s. The firms are adopting cloud based solutions and thus
if Macey’s wants to go forward with new technologies, Eclipse can be the better software.
Notepad is not bad software but it lacks in a lot of functionalities that is otherwise provided in
Eclipse. The main aim of the report will be to find out what extra help can the Eclipse
software provide to the company in its application design and development as compared to
Notepad++. Eclipse has a wide range of target audience that include the employees, clients,
vendors, application developers and media sector while the target audience for Notepad is
beginners in Website development. The use of Eclipse can help the firm to manage the files
and this can be made use of to handle multiple projects as well as multiple files. This also
supports varied range of file formats with type-specific syntax formatting. Multiple types of
