INTRODUCTION
• Business and Business Environment contains all the external & internal factors which affect a firm
such as Organizational structure, organizational culture and managerial structure.
• This presentation describes different type of organisation such as Private Organisation, Public
Organization and Voluntary Organization.
• Further this presentation explains that private organization is one which are run by individuals with
the aim of earning profits, whereas public organization is owned & controlled by government for the
welfare of citizens of country and Voluntary organisations are one which are non profit organisation
and are independently work for public welfare.

Different type of organizations
• PRIVATE ORGANISATION (Mc Donald’s)
• The private sector organisations are run by individuals with the motive of
making profit This sector is not under any government undertaking. The
idea of private business is generally based on innovation, new ideas,
changing market trends, etc.
• The sole objective of these type of organisation is to meet customer
expectation in changing business environment.

• PUBLIC SECTOR ORGANISATION (Metropolitan Police)
• This type of organisation is owned by the government and exists to provide
services to its citizen for their well being. This includes state government,
local government and also includes public companies those are governed by
these government authorities.
• The chosen firm is Metropolitan Police Service, the firm informally named as
'Met' established by the act of parliament, in 1829 by home secretary 'Robert
Peel'.

• VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION (OXFAM)
• These are common interest organisation formed with volunteer
participation of individuals those who shows interest to work for the
societies. These types of firms came into being with voluntary
admission for completing some important task as example it can be
related to some natural calamity as floods, droughts and earthquake.
• To prevent from these types of up comings these types of organisations
came into existence.

Size and scope of organisation
• VOLUNTARY ORGANISATION(OXFAM)
• Background- Oxfam is a confederation of 20 independent donation-based
firm focussing on the alleviation of global poverty, founded in 1942 and it
is lead by Oxfam International.
• It is headquartered in Oxfam International , England. It provides its
services worldwide.
• Services- It mainly focuses on economic justice, providing essential
services, rights in crisis, and gender justice.

• Background- It is an American fast food company, founded
in 1940, United States as a restaurant. It's founders are
Richard and Maurice Mc Donald. It provides its services
worldwide. It is the world's largest restaurant chain in terms
of revenue.
• It had its original headquarter in Oak Brook, Illinois, but
moved its global headquarters to Chicago in 2018.

• PUBLIC ORGANISATION (METROPOLITIAN POLICE)
• Background- Metropolitan Police Service is the Territorial Police force it
consists of 32 London Boroughs. Formed on 29th September 1829. It has
43000+ employees. The area policy by it is called Metropolitan Police
District .
• It has significant national responsibilities like, protecting the royal
families, co-ordinating, protecting 164 foreign embassies etc.

• Relationship between operational function and HR. department-
• Their exists a relationship between them as HR. personnels discusses regarding payroll, and salary of the employees whereas
operations functions always moderate the functions of HR. as performance appraisals, Staffing. Training etc.
• Relationship between Production function and Finance department-
• As both finance and operations are considered as main areas for any company for carrying out any production work their arises
need for finance to purchase raw ,materials, labour and other expenses.
• To carry out its activities operation department are dependent on finance for funds so that they can start their functioning with
enough funds with flexibility.

CONCLUSION
• The report summarized about business and business environment of different types of organizations
which include the purpose and legal structure of Public (Metropolitan Police), Private (Mc Donald's)
and Voluntary(Oxfam).
• Further this study has outline Background, Product and services, Vision, Mission, Business
Objectives, Stakeholders of the above mentioned organizations.
• It further describes the functions of Mc Donald's. Moreover it has outline the advantages and
disadvantages of interrelationship of various departments of the company with organizational
structure.
