ensure that ecological balance does not get disturbed. Climate change is an increasing concern

from sun radiation etc are causing a threat to humans survival (Phillips, Seifer and Antczak,
2013). This is happening due to dis-balance nature. Individual and business activities together
impacting the environment. Global warming is the result activities done by humans in their greed
such as burning fuels and cutting trees. Businesses and environment are linked together, as in
order to produce goods and services raw materials are used. These raw materials are not man
made and over use of these natural resources from past couple of years has led to the verge of
their extinction. Changes in the climate is the effect of global warming, therefore countries from
all over the world has now come together to reduce the impacts of ecological imbalance. Polices
have been formed to address these problems. Even though many leaders are giving importance to
this issue but president of US Donald trump does not think that global warming is a global issue.
Trump refused to be part of Paris climate agreement stating that this is a conspiracy to sabotage
the US economy. Paris agreement is framework which is made to deal with elements that are
causing climate change. It was launched to keep track of the contributions made by countries
with regards to reduction in the green house effect. This can be considered as an action plan
where planning and regulation are being made to improve the climate condition. There are many
ways in which climate change affect the businesses. In automobile sector companies are now
launching vehicles with facilities like fuel consumption (Rahman, Park and Chi, 2015). Use of
solar panel for generating the electricity is another bigger change which has happened because of
lack water. Studies have shown that various measures have been taken to protect the water

resources. In order to ensure that water remains available during drought harvesting system are
being developed by the government of UK. Awareness schemes have been launched by media
outlets under ways to recycle products and efficient use of energy is discussed. For example
Walmart set specific goals to deal with environmental changes, is reducing the excessive use of
energy by building stores. To protect the wildlife and habitats and adapting to climatic change
initiatives like planting woodlands in large number is taken by the agriculture and forest
industry. These measures are turning out to be beneficial as excessive river level has been
reduced and banks have been stabilised. Planning needed to be done right now to protect these
resources for the future generation. UK is well equipped with knowledge and is taking actions to
remove the ignorance of citizens. The government might impose strict rules in future to deal with
green house effect some of them has been taken now such reduction in gas emissions. Main aim
of country is to achieve the high standards of clean environment by 2050. Changes such as
specification like determining the degree of temperature which should not be crossed in any
conditions. Low carbon technologies might be developed that can create better products.
It can not be denied that humans are responsible for the severe effects in the global
environment and controlling the climatic conditions is in the hands of humans now. Protecting
the natural resources and reducing the green house effect should be put on top in the priority list
of each and every country. Further actions are required to improve the efficiency in energy, like
electric vehicles can be used in place of fossil fuels and innovating the new techniques for the
cleanliness of the environment. Countries like US have to take this matter seriously as it is
causing largest amount of green house effect by producing CO2 emission. Developing countries
are encouraged to control the pollution. Hence this can be said that with appropriate policies
green house agenda can be achieved in future (RT White and James, 2014).

Making decisions about career are often confusing task but it requires great deal of
understanding regarding the potentiality of environment. The labour market is becoming
competitive day by day and in this situation selecting job which suits the personal skills and
experience is very important. Career prospects in tourism industry are high and manager of
tourism industry will allow person to flourish and gain experience throughout the working
career. Graduate can consider this as an option if they like to pursue their dreams of having
luxurious and interesting lifestyle. A Tour manager is someone who performs several tasks

which revolves around greeting guest. Mainly the job requires attending people from all over the
world who visits the country, resolving conflicts and issues which customer faces during their
visits, arranging visas for foreign clients. In particular the activities with regards to travel
arrangements are part of this job. As technological advancement has become part of every
profession, in tourism industry digital marketing has simplified the tour manager's work.
Business first rule is to identify the customers needs and communicating with them to satisfy
them in every way. Digital marketing allows tailoring the services given by tour manager
according to the specifications of market. Use of smartphones, email has helped in providing
easy access to the clients. The customers are also benefited through this as reservations can be
made by them in the nick of the time, thus it can be said that digital marketing has positively
affected the tourism industry. Even tough tour manager manages the customer related work, but
for the management of people working in travel agency leads to the creation HR department.
This division performs maintaining the record of each and every employee since the time they
join the company to the point of their removal (Bose and Luo, 2012). Main role of HR is to
address the needs of employees and increasing the productivity in the operations. Being a tour
manager difficulty arises in different areas such as not having proper internet connection or
software to manage the tour requirement. Problems like these are solved by the HR department,
providing the necessary facilities and scheduling activities are its responsibilities. Apart from this
another role is to bring appropriate employees for the organisation. At the time of hiring the
potential candidates for the job of tour manager ensuring that individual possess appropriate
qualifications and skills. Such as ability to deal with different types of people, good
communication and flexibility to adapt to changing dynamics. In addition, Legal division also
plays vital role in the travel agency as for making arrangements in different countries one has to
comply to the norms applicable in various areas (Camilleri, 2014). In this aspect legal unit
updates the tour manager about rules and regulations. For example in various places informing
visitors about the any problem that they might face during their visit is the legal obligation on
tour manager's part. Thus this unit helps in ensuring the safety of visitors. Unavailability of this
department can put travel agencies in legal trouble thus it is important to have this unit in order
to maintain the day to day legal affairs of business.
One has to be sure of progression prospects in particular profession and the learning that
will be attain from it. Analysing this aspect involves determining the salary scale and the growth

it will cause in career. Choosing to work as manager in tourism agency is good for growth of
career, a person having appropriate experience in this filed can achieve great heights. Average
salary of tour manager is around £20,000. With good amount of experience can provide further
increase in compensation. On a personal this job allows person to gain wider perspective about
the life. The tour manager will become open to different cultures and religions. In this way road
to achieve success becomes easier for an individual.
