Public enterprises:-
 A public enterprise refers to an organization fully or partly owned by
government or state or controlled by a public authority assign by the
government.
 They are also known as Public Sector Undertaking (PSUs) as it is owned
by the state.
 Because of some social reasons some public enterprise are kept under
government ownership so that only the government can have the
monopoly over them

 United Biscuits was formed in 1948 by a merger of two Scottish family
businesses; McVitie & Price and MacFarlane.
 Is a British based multinational food manufacture makers of McVitie
biscuits Jacob cream crackers and twiglets.
 The company was listed in the London Stock exchange and was once a
constituent of the FTSE 100 Indexes and was acquired by Yildiz Holding
and now is a part of Pladis.

 The size of the public sector companies can be measured in different ways
including public expenditure expressed as in percentage of economic output,
government current consumption as a share of all current consumption and
public sector employment as a share of all employment.
 The public sector in Scotland comprises a larger share of the economy as
compared to the rest of UK

Voluntary sector organization:-
Also, known as the 'Third sector organisation' which means that type of
organisation which are neither private sector nor public sector.
 It includes voluntary and community organisation (both registered
charities and other organisation such as associations and self-help group
and community groups), social enterprise mutuals and cooperatives.

There are mainly three types i.e. voluntary, community and not-for-profit
organisation.
 Voluntary are considered to employ staff working for a social or
community purpose.
 Community sector are assumed to comprise volunteers who are mostly
unpaid.
 Not-for-profit organisation is also considered to include social firms such
as cooperative and mutuals and are recently governmental institution as
housing association.

worlds largest financial centre.
Britain's aerospace industry is the second largest national aerospace industry.
Its pharmaceutical industries is the 10th largest in the world.

Scope of Private Sector In UK
The scope of the private sector in UK can be measured by the size of the
sector only we can see that private sector is contributing about 80% of the
UK economy.
So the scope is also very wide and very large as compare to that of public
sector.
