1. Examine the importance of business ethics vs. social responsibility.
In order to identify business ethics and social responsibility of an organization, it is important
to identify what these two terms refer to in business context.
Business ethics refers to values of an organization that they consider to design and implement
their business strategies (Russo, 2016). Ethical behaviour is defined in terms of what is good
and what is bad. It also refers to behaviours that are morally correct and beneficial for people
and society as well.
Although primary aim of any business is to gain profit, but a successful organization is not
driven by this value only, they are committed towards ensuring that business activities
comply with social enhancement and for ensuring this, organization implement programs and
policies that are referred to as corporate social responsibility or CSR programs (Ocak,
Köseoglu & Yildiz, 2017). These programs are aimed towards social changes which benefits
not only people but various important aspects that defines a society.
Therefore, it might seem that business ethics and social responsibilities are similar. Although
these two concepts are closely related, they are not necessarily similar. Sometime things that
are good for society might not be good for business and things that are good for business no
always good for society. Therefore, these two concepts might be significantly contradictory.
For example, business might design codes of conduct that affects implementation of
corporate social responsibility. A business might consider to sell drinks that are not good for
public health, but it is not against business ethics. However, if analysed from CSR
perspective, then this is not accepted. Therefore, sometime business might need to consider
code of conducts that is not in accordance with its social responsibility as well.
2. Compare and Contrast the use of data analytics in a data-driven society without the
use of a proper IT software program to collect business intelligence.

In modern society which is data driven, proper data analytics plays an important role in health
care services. In modern health care services, obtaining patient data and analysing those data
properly through application of advanced data analytics techniques is of prime importance for
providing quality healthcare services to patients. Therefore, accuracy in data analytics is so
important in this context. Data collected for patient is not only huge in volume, but these data
are not often organized and that is why application of traditional data analytics methods is not
that effective for identifying intelligence from these data. However, there are some health
care providers who are still relying on traditional data analytics process which is not effective
and efficient as well (Reddy & Kumar, 2016). For example, some providers are not
considering to apply software programs that are current and offers enhanced reliability for
analysing their data. Instead of this, they are considering memory and preferring to apply
hard copies folders for analysing patient outcomes. Therefore, chances of error in data
analytics is significant and as decision regarding providing health care service depends on
accuracy and effectiveness of data analytics, it will affect quality and accuracy of healthcare
services provided to patients as well. When proper software programs are considered for data
analytics, then it makes data analytics process effective and also enhance accuracy of data
analytics process as well (Galetsi & Katsaliaki, 2019). Therefore, it is important for health
care service provider to apply proper software programs so that it is easy to ensure that
healthcare services provided to people are effective and efficient as well.
3. Explain the gap in making decisions and the validity of healthcare trends on
performance without the correct data.
In modern healthcare services, many new technologies and trends are being introduced for
making healthcare services affordable, accurate and effective as well. However, all of these
technologies and trends depend on data. However, only ensuring access to data is not enough,
it is also require to ensure that these data are reliable and accurate, otherwise it will affect

decision making process and along with that it also affects validity of healthcare trends on
performance (Solanas et al., 2017). Therefore, in order to ensure decision making process is
in accordance with healthcare trends, it is important to ensure accuracy in data as well.
For example, lack of application of EMR or HER might affect process of decision-making
and also its accuracy required for collecting proper data and if accuracy in data collection in
not ensured then it might impact performances and also trends as well.
