PART B
Reflection of learnings
Reflection is the way to different people for learning those activities which they have
conducted before. For reflecting on the learnings from the module, here is Gibbs reflective cycle
used below. Basically, this reflective cycle was developed by Professor Graham Gibbs in 1988
(Flynn, 2019). Firstly, Mr. Gibbs has mentioned about this cycle in his very popular book
named; Learning by Doing. This cycle includes six stages of reflection which has been
mentioned below for reflecting on the module’s learnings.
Description: I have learnt many new things about the business ethics after completing the poster.
Currently I am fully aware about the impact of business ethics in workplace of an organisation. I
have learnt that, top-level management within most companies takes different steps towards
considering business ethics in their workplace in very proper manner. Basically, business ethics
helps to different ventures in the formation of an ethical workplace. After identifying background
of different companies and organisations, I have learned that Tesco is completely followed the
concept of business ethics in its workplace. The senior management team and employees of this
retail organisation puts their huge efforts for conducting such activities in workplace which
promotes business standards and ethics in workplace.
Feelings: I felt that, top-level management of each organisation should have proper knowledge
of business ethics and standards, because these are enough to an organisation in the context of
increasing good values in workplace. I felt that, if will become manager at any venture or
business in the future, then I will definitely adhere all standards of business in own workplace.
Evaluation: Currently there is very huge competition in each company or business in market
place. In this situation, when any company has followed business ethics, then it will enable to
gain huge profit margins and competitive advantage ibn market place. According to my

learnings, I have noticed some gaps also between ethics and organisations, because still many
organisations not believes in following business ethics in their workplace. So that top-level
management within these organisations have to follow these ethics for gaining better outcomes.
Business ethics contributes in gaining an effective workforce to a company as well, in which
after having effective workforce, a venture can simply improve its productivity and performance
in market place.
Analysis: I have learnt, standards and ethics business provide a specific framework to a business
for gaining huge success in market place. Top-level management of company have to focus on
systematically following these standards and ethical in its workplace, because people or
customers in market completely knows that, which companies works within ethical and
standards and which are not. On the basis of my learnings, when any venture follows these in
own workplace, then it will be enabled to change the perceptions of customers in positive way
(HORTON, 2020). That’s why I believe in always considering these in own workplace.
Conclusion: It can be concluded that a venture not gain very effective outcomes in this dynamic
world without following ethics, regulations and standards in own workplace. After considering
these all in the workplace, any venture can simply build an ethical work culture in is business
environment. Then, this type of workplaces helps to employees in improving their capabilities,
workability and productivity.
Action plan: After understanding the very positive impact of standards and ethics, I have also
taken steps towards maintaining ethical and standards in own workplace. Then, I have learnt that,
follow these standards and ethical is not small task to a company, because a manager has
required to conduct lots of practices in workplace to properly maintain these in workplace. SO
that, recently I have also conducted lots of ethical practices in own workplace for maintaining
ethical and standards in daily operations.
