PART 2
Reflection with application of model:
After the discussion of business ethics, I analysed that ethics are necessary for
organisation as they reflect their performances (Dimmock and Fisher, 2017). Every customers
get attracted with the performances of company and if company comes under ethical
consideration then it gives a great impact on the reputation or goodwill of organisation. This can
be more clarified with the help of my personal experience that can be more clear with the use of
Gibbs Reflective model. This reflection is using Gibbs Reflective model that covers the cycle of
reflection step by step which include description, feelings, evaluation, analysis, conclusion and
action plan.
I experienced from the discussion of business ethics that it becomes the necessity of
organisation which is not only necessary for company but also for society. It is the part of
corporate social responsibility that I analysed in the experience of business ethics (Werhane,
2018). I felt that business ethics set the boundaries of organisation and their members. The
reason behind this is they are the set of moral duties that guides organisation's people when they
are taking decision between right and wrong. I felt that it is crucial for organisations if they want
to develop sustainability in the market. I can explain this with the help of example. For example,
Marks & Spencer is analysed that the environment pollution is increasing and that's why they are
now focusing on reducing of greenhouse gases. This example show that how organisation is
concerned about their society and that's why company is considering ethical. I am feeling proud
that I am working in an ethical organisation. My experience in Marks & Spencer is good because
they give importance to their ethics as they use them in the decision making process. I also find
out that they are getting negative rating in many field but they are continuing to work on their
ethics (Robinson-Easley, 2017). After all understanding the concept and relevance of business
ethics, I analysed that it becomes the essential component for organisation that they use in their
decision ,making process so that they are able to decide what is wrong and what is right.
Business ethics are the set of rules that guides and direct people of organisation in which manner
they have to perform and what they have to achieve. In the present scenario of business
environment, I analysed that companies are judging by their ethics. That means if consumers are
found that company is not covering in the ethical standards then it automatically declining the

sales. So I come into a conclusion that ethics are crucial and every employee should work
accordingly so that they can violate any boundaries. It is vital for employees to understand the
need and use of business ethics (Melé and Fontrodona, 2017). It is found that they are taking as a
pressure which is not correct for them. I learned that senior management team plays a very
crucial role in business ethics as they are setting standards for the company which are the part of
ethics. I also learned that standards that make by senior management team are maintaining by
employees. So that's why they should always focus on their skills and knowledge that helps to
maintain the standard of organisation. Their skills can be develop with the help of an action plan.
Reason for choosing Gibbs Reflective model
The use of reflective model is the necessity of people as they are able to clarify about
their personal experiences of different situations. In the life of a person, people face many
situations which they want to explain with the help of personal reflection (Cowton). Gibbs
reflective model is an effective model for the purpose of explaining an experience of an
individual. Reflection model is very necessary so that any other person can easily understand the
motive of personal experience. It is identifying that without model reflection become very vague
as person sometimes cannot understand the systematic manner of explaining their experience. It
can be understand with the help of an example. For example, a person that explain their
reflection on their SWOT analysis but they explain their strengths at one time and after that they
explain their opportunities so they miss the manner of explaining of their experience (Popescu,
2017). It create some miscommunication and misunderstanding that cannot understand by other
person. In addition to this, it provides some benefits that are mentioned below:
This reflective model is easy to understand as it divide the whole conversation in 6 parts
