Introduction
Augmented reality is the interactive experience that a real person is being
experiencing in the environment with the changes that has been witnessed with the use of
technology. As it has been mentioned by Majewski and Kacalak (2016), it is the visual
experience that will brining in changes in the real world when looked in from any particular
device. Apple Inc, has been one of the innovative organisations that has been famous and
expanding for its qualities of using innovation in every new product (Westphal 2017). The
paper will be discussing based one the information that has been describing the ways
augmented reality has been influencing the technology and innovation.
Characteristics of augmented reality
The augmented reality can be characterised into three features. Firstly, overlay of lay
and digital world; secondly, real time interaction; registration and alignment in 3D. The first
feature explains that the prime feature of augmented reality, which is one can only visualise
various 3D activities that will be taking place in the background behind. As it has been
mentioned by Alimamy, Deans and Gnoth (2017), it takes place in the real time. For instance,
a person will be able to witness the visualisation on that particular time. It is also an
alignment in 3D where the images will be seen in the form of 3D.
Latest trends brought with augmented reality
The latest trend that has been witnessed with augmented reality is visualisation of
products in 3D. As it has been stated by Cordesses, Ehrmann and De Chatelperron (2019), it
has made it easier for people to observe things from a distant place with the use of augmented
reality. For instance, visualisation of a sofa will be visualised in 3D form. It has also
impacted in the use of Artificial intelligence that has helped in the development of the

innovation and technology. Another trend that has been brought by augmented reality is
finding ways to indoor navigation system.
Impact on the technological changes in the organisation
With the development of augmented reality there has been various changes brought in
organisations like Apple Inc. Apple has been one of the famous organisation that has been
bringing in changes in the lifestyle of people with the introduction of innovation. Augmented
reality is one of the innovation that has been adapted by Apple. In the words of Erdem
(2017), there has been changes brought in the business model that has improved the delivery
of the productivity of the organisation increasing the sale of the product. The organisation has
become technically strong as in the development of augmented reality it is necessary to have
a strong technological development.
Opportunities of using augmented reality
Augmented reality has provided with great opportunities in the development of
technology. As it has been mentioned by Mainzer (2017), augmented reality has helped
business development that has been helpful in marketing. Augmented reality has also been
highly used in educational sectors that has provided students with great knowledge. Apart
from these augmented reality has also various other opportunities like data visualisation, real
time shopping, maps and tourism. These opportunities are highly being used by Apple Inc in
the development of the business as well as innovation. In fact, Apple was one of the first
brand that has been using augmented reality.
Challenges of using augmented reality
The challenges that are being faced by Apple Inc. in development of augmented
reality are being mentioned below:

Lack of hardware: It is necessary for using augmented reality that the must be a hard
ware present that will help in visualisation of the product (Mainzer 2017). Apple in
order to ensure that very individual use the product it is necessary that there must be
hardware that will be supporting the technology. Lack of regulation: Augmented reality has also various drawbacks. Hacker and
people unethically used the innovation to distort images for malicious internet
purpose. This has turned to be a cybercrime that has been identified. Limited content: Apple has been struggling, as it is unable to provide customers with
various content that will help in observing various activities or visualisation with the
help of augmented reality (Majewski and Kacalak 2016). It has been used by various
applications like Instagram and Snapchat that has been extensively using augmented
reality. Safety: Apple has been also concerned with the safety of its customers, as there has
been various games like Pokemon Go that has severely affected various customers.
Various accidents that has harmed the players highly.
Impact on the economic, social and ethical perspective
It has been highly affecting in spheres like economic, social and ethical perspective of
an organisation. As it has been mentioned by Majewski and Kacalak (2017), the organisation
must have a great economic foundation that will enable the organisation to afford the
technology. Hence, Apple could easily afford the technology that will help in meeting the
objectives of the organisation. As it has been stated by Wawage, Shinde, Indurkar and Sorte
(2019), with the increase in the demand of the customers there will be improvement of the
technology and the organisation will try to meet the needs of the society. There are some
ethical perspectives that has to be maintained by the organisation while ensuring that the
technology will be used by the common people. It also has an impact in the economic

will be a great economic development of the organisation.

Augmented reality has brought in various changes in the technology that will be a
progress in the development of an organisation bringing changes in operation of an
organisation. It has a great impact in the development of an organisation. Numerous
challenges are being faced by the organisation while delivery of the development of
technology. However, there are challenges in delivery and in the right development of
augmented reality.
