Business ethics can be regarded as implementing the correct and appropriate practices
and policies in the business so that there is no argument on controversial subjects. It is basically a
study of these appropriate practices and policies regarding the controversial subjects which may
include bribery, corporate governance, fiduciary relationship or the corporate social
responsibility. Every organisation need to consider two aspects while making any decision which
includes business ethics and social responsibility. Responsible management can be said to be an
activity or process which must be designed in the business so that certain environmental and
social minimum standards are met by the companies (Braga and et. al., 2019). This report is a
case study of EA games: FIFA, Loot boxes and Whales, which is an American gaming company
in Europe and America. The report is been made by middle Manager which shall be submitted to
senior manager. The report shall be split in 2 parts, under which Part 1(A) shall cover the aspects
of ethical issues faced by company, role of government in business, impact on stakeholders of
the organisation, examples of bad and good ethics and at last the recommendations. Part 1(B)
shall cover the ethical theories and their application in the case, its advantages and disadvantages
and recommendations for the company. At last Part 2 shall have the reflective essay on what
makes an ethical leader and how managers can work towards meeting the high ethical standards.

Ethical leadership refers to the concept which demonstrates the conduct of leaders
through good values from their action or words. It is regarded as acting according to the moral
principles in the daily operations of the business and in decision making. Ethical leadership
management is creating the culture in the workplace where people can do right things. An ethical
leader is the one who defines and aligns such values that can build a culture of ethical working.
An ethical organisational culture is built from the effective communication of ethical values and
ensuring that the people have sustained that value in their behaviour while working in the
organisation (Shareef and Atan, 2019). An ethical leader is the one who align the ethics into the
company and hire people with same values so that ethics can be communicated by all to
everyone working for an organisation. An ethical leader does not bring biasness into his decision
making and leads the workforce by an examples.
An ethical leader may maintain integrity and compliance in the workplace by ensuring
that rules and regulations are strictly followed by the staff so that it can reflect in the efficiency
of their performance. There must be a team spirit in all employees so that their personal motives
are kept aside and all can work towards common objectives of the company. The leader can

example for other. In order to bring effectiveness and efficiency in the performance of the
workforce, the leader can encourage and motivate them to comply with code of conducts so that
all can work together as a team (Lumpkin and Achen, 2018). Effective communication
mechanism must be developed in the business organisation so that integrity and compliance can
be ensured by the leader.
In order to become an ethical leader, my experience have taught me to construe myself
into an ethical leader. Before construing teams, I differentiate people according to their
efficiency so that effective teams are built in organisation. While leading my team, I maintain the
team spirit among team members where I encouraged more and more discussions so that
effective communication channel can be built among the team. While solving any issues between
the members, I respect the opinion of my team members and try to work with their perspective as
well so that their dignity is not hurt. This boosted the confidence of my team and I was able to
trust my capabilities which helped me in taking the right decisions. Following the ethical code of
conduct of my business organisation helped me in taking positive decisions for my team as well
as company. Before coming to any conclusion, I use to evaluate my decision and its
consequences so that I can better make decisions without worry and stress. So my ethical
behaviour helped me taking fair decisions without any discrimination which resulted in increased
productivity of my team members.
CONCLUSION
From this part, it is concluded that an ethical leader brings the ethical environment into
the organisation where work is done with ethics. The organisation must encourage strict
compliance of morals and ethics so that the business is run ethically which will help in
eliminating the unnecessary problems. An ethical leader is the one which defines and aligns the
values and work on building effective communication so that ethics and values are
communicated to all (Yang and Wei, 2017). Hence, it is a duty of a leader to ensure the integrity
and compliance in the workplace so that productivity is increased of the employees and business
