Business ethics is regarded as the form of applied ethics or professionals ethics that
makes determination of ethical principles as well as moral problems that occurs within the
business environment. It has application in all the aspects of organizational conduct and has
relevancy to the conduct of the business and entire organizations. In the present research issue
relating with ethics has been discussed in context of Jac Travel. The issue that is being
experienced in this organization is relating with discrimination. The present report is comprised
of overview of the organizational issue. Further it includes Management analysis and Ethical
analysis of the issue. At the end it covers the recommendations for resolving the issue relating to
business.
Overview of the organizational issue
Jac travel is business to business travel and tourism organization that was being
established in 1975 by Jack Anthony Coronna as inbound tour operator. The company is fastest
growing and it is backed by the private equity investment. Every year around 2 million
passengers makes utilization of the services so that they can attain best services. Jac is carrying
out its operations from 14 offices across the globe and makes employment of more than 500
staff. The major organizational issues is related with the discrimination that is being faced by the
personnel working in the business. This is in relation with the discrimination based on the
gender. The workplace discrimination not only hurts the one who is discriminated but also
damages the whole business. Here, the males are given more priority in comparison with the
females. This is in case when decision making has to be done. Consideration is given to the male
staff members while quick and quality decisions are required to be made. This affects the
motivation level of the female staff as they are not being involved in the decision making
process. This thereby leads to affecting their work performance to a greater extent. Equal
opportunity is not being given to the female staff and also they are not being treated fairly in
comparison with the male staff which acts as a major issue for the organization to a significant
level. The issue that is being faced by the business has wider scope in affecting the activities of
the travel and tourism business. Workplace discrimination is considered as the major factor that
result in causing conflict among the personnel within the organization. Discriminatory behavior
erodes the workplace environment, creates an atmosphere wherein the employee feels

undervalued. With this communication also suffers to a greater extent. The organizational issue
that is discrimination resulted in causing several associated issues that affects the performance of
the business to a significant level. In case the male member are appreciated and given more
promotion in comparison with female members then such affects the morale of the female
employees and influence the productivity of the firm. Jac travels is tour operator thus it has
requirement of both. With discrimination on the basis of gender. This also leads to increasing the
turnover of the personnel as well.
