1.0 Introduction
Management can be played as a collection of activities which include planning organising staffing
directing and controlling. Each and every task has been controlled by the management.
Organization has divided they are all functions in the functional department so that they can
complete their all tasks in an effective and efficient manner. This report is made for the purpose of
knowing about the the business and their functional areas along with the highlighting the key
functional areas of a business organization. In addition to this it also include a small evaluation of
all functional areas of business organization. The employees working in the several organizational
function are required some special skills and knowledge which are given as under.
2.0 What is a business?
A business can be defined as an organization or Enterprise under which professional aur
commercial activities has been done. Business can be defined as the organised efforts and
activities which are performed by a person to do the manufacturing and the selling of goods
and services in order to earning the profit.
3.0 What is Functional areas of business - Definition
As a single human body have several functions and all the organs perform their function in a
well and organised form. In the same way business organization also have a lot number of
functions which has been performed and managed by different part of a business. In order to
completing all the task of an organization in an effective and efficient manner the
management of organization has divided the all operations in several functional areas. Some
of the key functional areas of a business organization are finance, accounting, marketing,
operations and Management.

Having proper customer is an essential part for every organization as it leads to the growth of
business organization by giving profit. In order to attracting the customers the organization
have to make and develop effective marketing and Advertising strategies. These strategies
has been made and wala of the by the marketing and Advertising department. Along with
doing promotion of business organization they are also responsible for leading the promotion
of vision mission and values of the organization as well. Such type of business function
mainly focus on the development of pricing product packaging and creative materials for
their targeted customers. Marketing department also plays an important role in doing the
research so that they can get to know about the needs and performance of a customer.
Marketing department also have several responsibilities of marketing and Advertising which
include management of social media, marketing communication of employees, content
creation for website, monitoring all the social media, managing the brand and many more.
5.2 Human Resource Management:
Human Resource Department is responsible for doing all the tasks and functions related to
the people working in the organization. There are various responsibilities of a Human
Resource Department which include analysing the requirement of Human Assets in the
organization and then it doing the recruitment of employees having right skills and

research so that they can get to know about the needs and performance of a customer.

so that it leads to the achieving of organizational goals and objectives in an effective and
efficient manner.
5.3 Customer Service:
Customer Service function can be said as the another functional area department in an
organization which is responsible for interacting with the customers. They are responsible for
giving the answers to the enquiry is a which are made by the customers and complaints by
processing of orders. Customer service representatives are the front face of organization as
they are in direct contact with customers. In simple words the main function of customer
service functional area can be defined as it maintain and retain the relationship of business
organization to its customers.
5.4 Finance:
Finance can be considered as the lifeblood for an organization as it is responsible for all the
transactions which take place in the organization and which are related to the money. All the
tasks which are going to perform in an organization is only possible by operating the cash in
an organization. Accounting and Finance Department is responsible mainly only for two
responsibilities which include maintaining a complete accounts of money going in and going
