Graduation and post graduation are significant aspect in life of a student Therefore; there is
different function of business which is performed for accomplishing goals in timely manner. The
Sainsbury is considered as a largest organisation which is located in UK. The organisation provides
various types of products like groceries, consumable item and many more. This company operate
their business at global level. This assignment emphasis on various kind of functions of organisation
and they link with one another and the academic skills needed for successful undergraduate (Qiu
and Tong, 2017).
TASK 1
Examine how different business functions are important & demonstrate their link with each other
The function of business organisation performed in an appropriate manner for achieving
goal in timely manner. It is important to adopt this function in such a manner that helps in
increasing profit margin in future period of time. There are various kinds of functions of
organisation like operations functions in which the procedure is performed for manufacturing
product and services. There are various organisations who adopt this function for manufacturing of
goods and services. HRM is considered as a function that help in hiring and selecting appropriate
candidate from pool of candidate in particular phase of time period. Their main purpose is to
increase productivity levels in future period of time. In addition to this, the marketing function
involves implementation of different tactics that enhances sales in future period of time. Moreover,
the functions related to finance help in auditing, accounting and many more (Kouzes and Posner,
2018).

Elaborate academic skills as well as techniques that are essential for a undergraduate student
Academic skills are important for the student to adopt them in appropriate manner in order
to achieve goal and objective in timely manner. There are different kinds of skill that is needed by
students like communication skill. This kind of skill can be achieved by attending seminars,
coaching, lecturers and many more. Therefore, these are significant for a student that helps in
achieving goal in timely manner. In addition to this, academic technique is important which are
adopted in an appropriate manner. The communication help in increasing understanding level in
order to achieve high confidence. It is analysis that academic skills helps student in becoming a
successful undergraduate student. Furthermore, it increases knowledge related to learning in an

appropriate manner. And, there is a proper awareness regarding innovative methods through which
there are various significant skills that can be accessed. Therefore the above-mentioned skills are
advantageous for a student in their career in future period of time (Hunter and Cook, 2018).
CONCLUSION
On the basis of the above mentioned report, it has been analyzed that it is important for
students to have necessary skill for become successful. In this report, there is brief description
regarding academic skill and functions of organisation. It is important for students to become
