INTRODUCTION
The report aims to analyse the functions of human resource management in a small business
concern. The business has main aim to focus on the expansion of the company to the broad level.
There are many uncertainties and challenges come across within the organisation environment
that require various strategies and plans. Expansion is become necessary for business in order to
cover large market areas and ascertain more profits. small businesses are growing in the recent
business environment. They have captured large market share in today’s world which will
enhance the operations of the business. Therefore, the important factor and resources for
business expansion is human resource development. The more company will have better working
people, the more they can attain objectives (Garg and Et. Al., 2021). This report is going to talk
about the strategies which can be taken by the macro in expanding its tiny Italian restaurant. The
project will assure the growth of small deli shop which Marco have decided to open in the next
door. For that instance, the report will present the human resource functions and programmes
which helps in hiring talented and skilful employees. There will be discussion about the whole
process of human resource and marketing function. It will be able to analyse the need of
workforce planning and maintain the reputation.

Human resource is a crucial function for every business to attain objectives and profits.
without effective workforce, it is not possible to achieve objectives without human resource.
Therefore, in order to improve the performance of the deli sandwich shop, the Marco needs to
focus on the following human resource management function which are described below:
Recruitment: It is necessary to analyse the vacant position within the restaurant; the Marco
needs to look for the need of talented individuals for different departments. Recruitment
functions must be done in proper manner by preparing all the documents, plans for hiring
individuals (Stone, Cox and Gavin, 2020). The Marco needs to first find out various ways of
recruitment like internal and external factors. Then choose the most appropriate ways through
which they could fulfil idol position in the restaurant for example, for cook, assistant manager,
helper and many more. The Marco should perform recruitment stages like providing job
