functions, are really the actions taken by a particular firm or company. Numerous duties are
performed by various organizational functions, such finance, marketing, human resources, and
many others, for a firm to operate effectively. Tesco, a retailer, is the business chosen for this
report.
Role of the different business functions and importance of working together
Role of marketing function- The advancement of an organization ’s operations and mission
depends heavily on advertising (Agarwal, 2021). It acts as the central figure of a firm that
organises and produces all marketing materials. Reaching out to the company's clients, the
society, and stakeholders is part of Tesco’s marketing method's responsibility when developing a
complete view that presents Tesco in a favorable light.
Role of finance function- The primary responsibility of this function inside the corporation is to
supply all financial data needed for other business functions to perform effectively and
efficiently. This component aids in business strategy and choice as well. The finance structure of
a firm keeps track of all internal changes and determines how they affect the firm's fiscal health
(Daignault, and Morse, 2022).
Role of the HRM function- This activity plays an important part in a firm since it helps
employers find the best candidates for open positions so that they may bring in new talent.
Additionally, it works to strengthen the bond between employers and employees (Miyoshi, and
et.al., 2022). The Tesco’s HR management promotes safety regulations instruction and the
legally mandated records for such recording of job fatalities and injuries.
