INTRODUCTION
Business functions in organisation are important which are needed to be adopted so that
goals are accomplished. Main aim of this report is to understand the business functions in
organisations (Katou, 2017). In this contemporary business environment, it is necessary to adopt
and be aware about such functions on basis of which it is easy to use resources and process further.
Morrisons, a supermarket chain located in United Kingdom. It operates its functions and operations
at global scale. The entity has many competitors such as Tesco, Sainsbury etc. This report consists
of explanation of business functions.
MAIN BODY
Importance of business functions
In organisation, business functions are crucial which are to be carried out in correct way.
This is too analysed that it is essential to focus on these different functions so that objectives are
achieved in appropriate way. So, in relation of selected entity several types of business functions are
discussed as follows-
Financial department- The finance department is an important function of Morrisons as
because this department main role is to provide information and maintain the financial data
in proper manner. In reference of selected entity, this function is carried out by them in
appropriate way. Finance department of company execute their roles in appropriate manner
and also make assure that every transaction is recorded properly and also financial reports
are took prepared from time to time.
Human resource department- This is another crucial function in which it aims at
managing of a staffing and hiring of a deserving candidates. With use of this function, it is
easy to increase and enhance the efficiency level of firm. In relation of Morrisons, their HR
department is capable enough to increase capability of entity. HR of company make assure
that all roles and responsibilities are carried out in correct way (Sarkum, 2021).
Marketing and sales department- This is also essential important in which it focuses on
increase and enhancing of sales of a firm and promoting product of a brand. In context of
chosen entity, their marketing and sales department is highly effective. Manager of firm
make assure that marketing as well as sales department of company is active towards their
achieving of goals.
Thus, from above discussed matter it is analysed that it is crucial to carry out business
functions in most efficient way. This is because through properly managing of these functions,

CONCLUSION
After a brief analysis of above report, it has been concluded that it is essential to focus on
business function of organisation so that it is easy to achieve set objectives in appropriate manner.
So, discussions have been made about various business functions. This is evaluated that it is
important for organisation to execute these business functions in most efficient manner so that
everything being carried out in correct way. Moreover, it is also examined that a proper internal
analysis is needed so that it is easy to manage all functions, operations and activities in most
