operates across the globe and is the largest retailer of the world. It is large both in size as well
as the largest in terms of earning revenue. Headquartered in Arkansas of the United States of
America, the company currently has an income of around more than 410 billion US$, with an
net asset of more than 170 billion US$. Apart from such a huge revenue and assets, the
company employs around 2,100,000 people all over the world which clearly proves its large
size. The company operates a chain of supermarket and also different kinds of other retail
stores under the brand name of Walmart.
Mission of the Business
The presence of millions of employees all across the globe, the company sets an
example of an effective human resource management of the business enterprise. The presence
of the effective human resource management has been the key to the success of the business
organization. The mission of the company has been the main reason behind the sound
fundamental principles of the Company. The mission statement of Walmart is “Save people’s
money so that they can live better”. The strategic goals of the business, to enrich the lives of
the people is in line with the mission statement of the business organization. Based on the
following business it is clear that the strategy of the management of Walmart is to use price
as the selling point to attract the targeted consumers.

sales target or potential.
c. The Strategy- The strategy of the business unit is to gain competitive advantage by
ensuring implementation of the most unique ideas that can be successful for the
business organization. The management of the business has offered to keep the
offerings relevant, convenient and fit for a diverse range of people. The continuous
improvement of the applications and experience digitally can also be a major success
for the business organization.
