Below prepared is a career research project that develops a report on Business Hospitality
industry. The report aims is to explore the requirements of pursuing a career in marketing industry.
Today, marketing industry can be seen as an important industry across the world as people have made
marketing and advertising as thier first aspect in order to achieve better organisational and business
growth. The report findings is going to help an individual in maintaining and understanindg better
career planning. It further contextualise and defines the employability of marketing graduates seeking
employement in marketing industry (Arogyaswamy and Hunter, 2018). Along with it, it allows an
individual to understand the importance of skills and knowledge required in marketing.
MAIN BODY
Trends impacting the Marketing Industry
Business Hospitality industry is a combination of different fields within the service industry
which includes food and drink services, transportation, travelling, cruise lines and additional fields
within the tourism industry. The improving economy has become a boom for many industries but
benefitted the travel and hospitality more.
Changes in the Business hospitality industries are going on rapidly these days. Some changes
are as like nowadays the people are becoming more health concsious, so for that the hotels need to be
well equipped with the fitness centers, pools and spas. Also the aviation industry needs to provide
healthy food and beverages at the airport's pantry and in the aircrafts. Nowadays a new concept of
corporate social responsibility is trnding globally. For this eco friendly practices are becoming the
mandatory norms. For this many hotels are installing solar panels.
For example, technological advancement in the hotel industry led to the development of a
system in which the air conditioners and lights aotumatically switches off as and when the guests
leaves the room. Another example is that a system has developed in which the guests can digitally
check- in and check- out of the hotel. Also there is a new system developing in which a robot will be
providing the services in the aircrafts instead of airhostesses. Even because of globalisation many new
industries are being established in new countries and creating opportunities of employment in new
countries (Agmon and Sjögre 2016). Due to globalisation many visitors are going to other countries,
which facilitates travel industry to grow at a fast pace.
Technological trends in the hospitality industry are the use of recognition technology like
biometrics, finger prints, facial recognitions etc are being used nowadays like Marriott China has
started using facial recognition check in system.
Globalisation refers to integration of different countries and economies as a whole. The impact
of globalisation are both positive and negative. Positive impact are larger market for selling products
and services, more job opportunuties, technological advancements, varieties of international services
available in one country only. The negative impacts are like, language and cultural barriers because of
different countries doing business together, seasonal unemployement, countries with high level of
technology doing business with developing countries etc.

starting of smart rooms, focusing on data privacy and data security using organically grown food dishes
