AI Summary
This report delves into the realm of Business Intelligence (BI), examining the influence of the Internet of Things (IoT) and Machine Learning (ML). The report begins with an introduction to BI, emphasizing its role in data analysis and decision-making processes. It then explores two articles related to IoT, highlighting its impact on industries and the essential knowledge required by IT professionals, including device integration, privacy, security, and analytics expertise. The report further analyzes the application of Machine Learning, differentiating between Log Data and Transaction Data and their significance in extracting valuable insights. The report provides examples of how ML aids in analyzing both data types to identify trends and patterns, such as consumer behavior. The conclusion summarizes the transformative impact of IoT on information technology and the importance of addressing privacy, security, and the effective use of data in BI. The report is well-referenced with books, journals, and online resources.

INTRODUCTION
Business Intelligence (BI) is responsible technology driven process which use for analysing
different information and actions taking by top management of companies to improve business
decision making process (Turban, Sharda, Aronson and King, 2008). The following research is
relating to BI and to understand its importance in organizations, two articles related to Internet of
Things has been taken into the consideration. The area that will cover in present study is IoT and its
impact on industry and why IT professionals needs to understand it.
1. ARTICALES
Write Up 1:
Internet of things is a very hot topic in present time. Most of the technology service
providers are introducing their products into the market with the help of IoT. As per the write up of
A beginner's guide to understanding the Internet of Things, it has been found that IoT is more than
an internet connection between electronic devices to the users smart phones and other devices (Cha,
2015). The goal of this thing is making the service users more smarter and devilver good experience
to them about then technology. For IT professionals, it is important for them to understand and
know about IoT. There are different things that should be needed to know by IT professionals about
IoT which are as follows.
Device integration: At present time, the service users and IT professionals are already using digital
account and password to manage their important information. Thing thing has increase the burden
upon end users of internet (Thibodeaux, 2015). Therefore, It experts should use IoT as an
integration platform where they can solve the issues to the consumers during use of digital
technology devices by decrease their extra burden and deliver good experience regrading things.
For giving total connected experience to the clients and other service users, IT professionals should
understand how to connect all the devices to each other so that it may improve the lives of the
community and help the industries to take competitive advantages in the market place (Lui, 2015.).
The reason of understand device integration by It professionals is simply improves the lives of end
users.
Privacy and security: Choosing a strong password to access the different account is increasing the
security issues for internet users in now a days. Privacy and security issues should be understand by
IT professionals because number of IoT cases grows day by day (Lawrence, 2015). For thing, they
should need to considered about vulnerabilities and privacy implications in smart and digital
devices. It is important to under this thing by IT professionals because it can help in reduce the
number of privacy and security issues with smart devices (Negash, 2004). IT professionals should

develop some skills so that diverse set of device weaknesses can be resolve and make them more
improve and secure from external threats.
Analytics expertise: In present era, many of the organizations are using IoT as a technology tp
gather the valuable information about the customers. In upcoming five years, it has been forecasted
that IoT will contribute about to $1.9 trillion in international economy (Chen, Chiang and Storey,
2012). In this context, IT professionals should collect different data and analyse it to determine
trends and patterns about demand of use of internet in various aspects. IoT helps both job seekers
and currently employed people to upgrade their knowledge about trends in market (Bi, Da Xu and
Wang, 2014). Along with this, IT professionals should know which kind of customer data is
valuable for them that can refine and improve IoT devices working.
Write Up 2:
Second write up is relating to Analystics, Machine Learning and the Internet of Things. In
the technology world, the increase of use of internet and the integration of different digital devices
with internet has directly impact on industries and effectively manage and utilize the information
(Earley, 2015). Towards this, there are various aspects which should be require for IT professionals
to know about IoT. First thing should be understand by IT experts is challenges that are facing by
the industries such as security, privacy, integration of different devices to one another, data base
management etc. IoT is a part of IT which help in new innovation in IT sectors and deliver the more
easy and comfortable lives to the end users with the time (Gubbi, Buyya, Marusic, and
Palaniswami, 2013). As more and more devices connecting to the internet, IT professionals are
facing new issues and problems related to security and privacy. For IT experts, they should given
not only innovation of new digital devices. They should focus on adoption and expansion of IoT for
different companies so that it can be use for various purpose.
Another thing which should be understand by IT professionals is if a sensor has implant in a
machine that it can not be machine for no longer (Weber, 2010). After this, it is considering SMART
system that can measure and evaluate the data and other information in effective manner. The
reason of considering the above stated aspect by IT experts is help in innovation of new IT
technologies that can more than one devices to the internet in a single time by minimizing the risk
of privacy and security issues. On the other hand, for IT professionals should know IoT capabilities.
For example, with the use of IoT, it is easy to connect SMART devices with different home
appliances (Atzori, Iera and Morabito, 2010). With the help of it, they can be easily control,
monitor, optimum utilized of the resources etc.

2. WEEK # 1 ASSIGNMENT
Machine Learning
For understand about Machine Learning (ML), the selected response from given 12
responses is 8. The reason of chosen the following section is it has very well explain difference
between Log Data and Transaction Data and their role in ML. Log data is a simple process of
entering the different log events which has been taken place during an process. For every action or
activity, a separate sets of file can be prepare. For example, a time taken to start and complete a
process of sourcing of information, the recorded time for each cycle has mentioned. On the other
hand, transaction data related information can be obtained from different events of a company for
which it is conducting a business. It is to forecast the various business related information such as
sales, budget, customers revisit, inventory management etc. For instance, Gmail keeps all the
records of all those system locations from where a user logged in. If he logged in again from a new
location than it will show a warning notification to him to proceed in further direction.
Machine Learning helps in analysing both Log and Transaction data and extract essential
information from it. The data obtain from these sources, it becomes easy to draw a pattern that
shows the changes between Log data and Transaction Data. For example, by analysing both data
sources, it has been determined that in a summer weather, children buy more ice-creams. Here, with
the use of ML, store manager can increase flavours of different ice-creams so that the sales of this
product can be increase in particular season.
CONCLUSION
From the two write ups, it has been concluded that Internet of Thing has completely change
the meaning of Information Technology. It has delivered a huge platform to IT experts to integrate
different smart devices with each other by using internet. In this context, privacy, security, safety etc
should be major concern of IT professionals towards use of IoT. On the other hand, Machine
Learning has utilized both Log Data and Transaction Data for interpret data by comparing both of
them.
