Description of the project
The project is related to the development of cloud-based business intelligence solutions for the
Health Care industry which will be tied to the customer relationship management. The
implementation of this project will enable the company in entering into the new service practice
that will help the company in earning millions of revenue in the future. When the patients are
treated in one area, all the details of the treatment and the process remains at one place, and data
is not shared among the other service providers. Therefore, when the similar disease has to be
treated at some other place, they remain unaware of the best practice. Therefore, this cloud-based
solution will prove to be useful here.
Scope of the project
The project will help the company in mobility as it can be accessed from anywhere and the
company will not be limited to the locations or the physical distances. So, the operations of the
company will not be subject to any boundations. The project will transform the operations of the
company, and it will help in reduction of the costs. The problem of installing the software on the
computers separately will get solved. This will act as a tool for public with which it can access
the data, important resources like details of the medicines, treatments; the cost of treatments, etc.
and they can ask their queries too via the cloud-based services. The scope will also involve
storing of a large amount of data. Thus the issue of storage will get resolved.
Potential risks of the project

The project has some risks like the criminals may gain unauthorized access to the customers and
the data as the cloud-based solutions will be open to all. So, they may be misused. There is the
risk of intrusion by the government. Then, there is risk related to the security if the service is
outsourced. The vendor will have access to all the information, and he may forward the
information to any competitor or anybody else who may misuse the information and harm the
reputation of the company (Brodkin, 2008). Thirdly, there are risks related to compliance and the
regulations to be followed. In healthcare, the use of credit cards is common, and it is difficult and
risky to manage that component. Then, when a specific type of data is to protect, there are many
data regulations that are required.
Possible outcomes
The possible outcomes from these risks are: the reputation of the business may be harmed, the
customers may get dissatisfied, the business may suffer from huge losses, and the service of the
health care provider may be hampered for a long time (Buyya, 2008).
