Introduction
The report helps in understanding the differnet cultures along with enhancement of the
skills by interacting with differnet individuals in an effective manner. The report includes the
different learning outcomes such as learning differnet organizational skills along with
understanding different aspects of the eductaion program. The name of the organization is OZ
group wherein it is an intermediate agency that helps in providing support support to the
different international students. The report will include the evaluation of the program that has
been conducted in the internship program as this helps in understanding the issues and other
learnings that has been gained by me.
The workplace that has been chosen is OZ group that has close kind of business
relationships with more than hundred institutions that includes colleges, secondary schools and
universities. The main aim and purpose of the report is to understand the job that has been
performed in the OZ study group in an efective manner. The main objctive of the report is to
understand the different kind of cutures as this will help in understanding the race, religion and
nations. The differnet learning objectives will be analyzed that includes evaluation of the proram
as this will help in understanding the general skills in an effectual manner.
The reasons for selecting the respective position is that this will help in understanding the
different diverse cultures. The other reasons for selecting the respective position in the internship
program is wherein there will be travelling to different countries and this will help in
understanding the tasks in an effective manner.

Program Evaluation
Learning objectives from the program:
The primary objective behind the given program was to do something which would
greatly be inclined towards my love for interacting with people from a wide background of
cultures. The main reason why I choose this organization was to see to enhance my opportunities
as working for this organization was the best alternative available whereby I was getting a
chance to interact with people belonging to all the cultures and nations. My communication skills
improved and as a counselor I got an extensive experience about how different students from
different cultures function.
My secondary aims from the given program have been stated below:
 Become a master of different languages like Arabic, French, German and others.
 Learn practical organizational skills thereby putting them to good use for my research.
 Understand more aspects relating to the human nature.
 Enhance my leadership skills and master the art of motivation.
 Through this program, I would also have satisfied and accomplished my love for
travelling.

In the given section, I will be discussing the outcomes of each of my experiences as
compared to the learning objectives that I had stated earlier.
Objective 1: Interacting with people from different cultures and background.
Key Learning outcomes:

Through the given program I was able to interact with people from various different
backgrounds. When I went to Australia, I discovered that it is a hub of different cultures and
backgrounds. Students and travelers from all around the world visit this place making the place a
heaven for any tourist. The university students whom I was counseling belonged to different
cultures like the African, Indian, Italian and some of them were even South American. By
interacting with them and visiting various universities I came to gather a large amount of
information about their culture and how they tend to respond to different circumstances.
In this objective, I had not expected to get such an extensive experience.
Objective 2: Improve my communication skills
Key Learning outcomes:
As the program comprised of interacting with people belonging to different cultures. I
had to communicate with each of them on a personal basis. Some of them were well spoken and
had a good command over the English language while the others were not well-versed in the
given language. This inclined me to communicate with them using their own language. Through
this interaction, my communication skills improved greatly and I was able to learn a few
languages as well. Through this experience, I realized that body language and other metrics tend
to play a key role in the business scenario and that one must be sensitive to the other cultures and
make use of appropriate body language in different situations.
Objective 3: Learn different languages

As I got to interact with people belonging to the different cultures, I learnt the basics of
quite languages such as Hindi from India, French, a bit of local African and German. Very often
I used to ask questions to the students belonging to the different backgrounds and enhance my
skills about varied knowledge from these cultures. However, it was my objective to learn
languages like Japanese and Arabic as well, but this objective of mine could not be achieved as
in my group there were no students who belonged to these cultures and countries.
Objective 4: Learning practical skills
Key learning outcomes:
Through this objective I had aimed to learn some practical organization skills.
Theory is quite different from the practical aspect of any business scenario. Having extensive
theoretical knowledge does not mean that the person will be able to master in real life. Hence, I
had aimed to ace my organization skills. However I was extremely disappointed as I found that
my organizational skills were quite weak. As I was new to the different cultures I was unable to
manage the different groups in an organized manner. Due to this, I discovered that my
organization skills need a huge improvement and that I need to take up more programs like these
to become a good counselor.
Objective 5: Learning more aspects relating to the human nature
Key Learning outcomes:
The outcome of this objective was one of the most successful ones. Through this
objective, I had aimed to become an expert in understanding the different aspects of human
nature. The outcome of the given objective was quite good as when we as a group were faced by

different situations, I got to see the true colors of many of the group members that I had not
expected earlier and got an experience about how these different people tend to react in different
situations. Very often people react differently to different situations and I observed that only
some people are able to handle stress. Once, when our transportation was stuck due to an
accident, I could reflect upon ho some students were quite calm as compared to the other
students who got panicked and irritated.
Objective 6: Enhance my leadership skills
Key Learning outcomes:
I had aimed to enhance my leadership skills and master the art of motivation. As
observed previously, although my organizational skills were a bit weak, I observed that my
Leadership skills were strong and that I could guide people efficiently and help them to figure
out their problems in case they needed any help from me. There were certain situations where the
student was unable to understand a certain aspect and others. In such cases, I was able to help
that student effectively and solve the problems.
I conducted regular meetings with my group to motivate them and look forward to other
aspects of the learning program.
Objective 7: Travel
Key Learning outcomes:
I got to travel to various places around Australia. I also took a special trip to New
Zealand and was able to fulfill m quench for travelling.

 To improve my organization skills.
As I realized that my organizational skills were extremely weak, I decided to undertake a
practical course to improve my weakness during the course.
Application of skills in the internship
The different kind of skills that included is leadership, travelling, communication,
learning aspects of different or diverse cultures along with human resource management. These
kinds of skills are essential in nature, as the respective job is required to have such skills inbuilt
in the candidate. The main intention of the respective job was to work as the consultant to the
different overseas students. The proper communication skills is essential and is required in nature
as this requires to provide proper guidance to the students as they will help in making them
understand the different importance of the different students in an effectual manner.
In order to council different students of abroad, it is essential and necessary in nature, as
this will help in understanding the difficulties of the students. With the help of the leadership
skills, it will be easier in nature to understand the queries and solve it effectively. The different
leadership skills such as keeping calm, confident in understanding the issues and solve them
without providing them with much difficulties. Proper knowledge is essential in the job, as this
will help in understanding the prevailing system in different abroad universities.
The different knowledge of the different languages and culture is essential to be known,
as this is required in the job. The different languages have to be known and proper training is
required to be taken as well as this will help in interacting with different culture students. The
different aspects of the human nature has to be understood as in counseling, proper knowledge

about the different attitude of the students has to be known and this will help them in guiding
different options that is available for them. It is mandatory for the counselor to understand the
different requirements of the students as this will help in solving their problems effectually. The
human nature has to be understood in an effective manner, as this will help in understanding the
different difficult situations in an effectual manner.
Reflective summary:
While I was working in OZ group, I had a wonderful experience as I had the opportunity
to learn different kind of interesting things. While I was doing my internship in the respective
organization, I tried to understand and learn different skills and that helped me in learning about
different cultures. During my internship, I tried to understand the different languages along with
gained knowledge relating to different places. I understood the importance of the learning skills
as this helped me in counseling different students who were coming to our company as to seek
guidance relating to their future courses.
I tried to understand the attitude, behavior, knowledge along with aspirations of the
career of the different students who interacted with me during my internship period. I was
provided with a proper training relating to the different situations wherein different students
visited our office and I learnt how the different employees tackled the problems in an effective
manner. My overall experience was quite refreshing as well as good as; I learnt different
techniques and learnt to interact with different students in different languages. I suggested
different places of studies that will be appropriate for them.
During my period of internship, I tried to apply my skills of leadership as this helped me
in handling a difficult situation in my workplace. One of the students visited our workplace; I

tried to understand the issues that are faced by the student in deciding the location and the
University for pursuing the future studies. In that particular situation, I applied my leadership
skills as this helped me in understanding the different issues relating to the studies and suggested
him a proper technique wherein I applied my cross-cultural leadership as this will help in
understanding the different culture students and understand their views towards their further
studies. In this particular situation, I handled the situation in an effective manner wherein I
understood the different issues faced by him and solve it in an effective manner.
Conclusion
Therefore, it can be concluded that the overall experience during my internship was
interesting in nature. The different skills has helped in understanding different skills that was
required to be generated as to perform the different activities in the organization. It was seen that
the main aim of the organization was to guide the different students relating their knowledge on
future studies. I tried to handle the situations with different implementation of communication
skills, as this will help in solving the problems in an effective manner.
As per my experience in the internship program, I tried to help the students in help them
in gaining different knowledge that is required to be inbuilt such as proper leadership,
communication, language and travelling experience. Overall, the experience was interesting and
there were lot of interesting facts that I have learnt and understood in order to complete my
internship program. There was different kind of situations that was handled by me in an effectual
manner.
