Q.1
McAfee
The McAfee can be defined as a diagnostic tool that helps an individual in ensuring if
their systems are protected and are safe from the cyber-attacks or nor. The Software provided by
the McAfee helps them in protecting their systems by implementing certain anti-virus within the
systems so that the personal computers or laptops can be protected against the threat of cyber-
attacks. For the same, the McAfee regularly updates the antiviruses, web security and firewall. It
has been identified that there are several design and development theories associated with the IT
solutions (Sakazi, Elovici, and Shabtai, 2022). However, the McAfee made use of the security
test plan composition, static analysis, threat model updating, design model and review and
privacy implementation assessment while developing their software. This helps the users in
making effective utilisation of the software and safeguarding them and offer smooth functioning
to the users. Also, it has been identified that the McAfee has made use of the Agile methodology
in order to develop all of their software within the market. This method is a type of software
development method in which there is a group of methodologies associated with the process of
software development. In this method, solutions that are developed by the company evolves on a
gradual basis using collaboration.
MS Office
MS office can be defined as a group of software developed by the Microsoft which
involves different kinds of software such as client software, server software and other related
services. The Microsoft Office is helpful for individuals as it helps them in enhancing their
productivity and easily accomplish the daily tasks that can be done on a computer. The software
provided by the MS office allows an individual to edit documents, read and write, make
presentations, use spreadsheets and database and many more of such services (Park, and Kang,
2022). It has been identified that the Microsoft has made use of the Inclusive Design
methodology in order to develop their software. This is a type of methodology which is
specifically developed in digital surroundings and allows and creates a wide range of human
diversity. Also it has been identified that the MS office software makes use a number of
techniques in order to enhance the customer experience and increase their level of satisfaction.

These features and the techniques associated with the MS office helps them in gaining the
customer attention and becoming one of the most used software used within the offices on a
global level.
Q.2
DSS (Decision Support System)
A processed or automated system software that helps an organization in collecting the
information relevant to the organization, examines the same and uses it in order to develop
comprehended reports can be defined as the Decision Support System (Teniwut, and Hasyim,
2020). This system software is not a simple software that is used for the purpose of gathering
data. Instead, it allows the individuals to make use of it in order to make informed decisions that
helps them in easily solving the problems and bringing the efficiency in dealing with the issues
faced by an organization. It has been determined that there are various class of decision support
systems . They are data driven , Model driven , Knowledge driven , document driven and lastly,
communication driven and group DSS. The examples of the DSS includes ERP dashboards and
GPS route planning.
ESS (Executive Support System)
A software that enables the individuals to modify the data and information related
to an organization into quickly reachable reports. These reports are then used by different
department of the company such as billing, accounts, human resources and others in order to
carry out the routine business operations of the company (Wahono, and Ali, 2021). This kind of
software is known as an Executive Support System. This system helps an organization into
utilising important information and also helps them in forecasting the performance of the
individuals within an enterprise. It is used by companies in order to achieve the required results.
It also provides them with There are different examples of an ESS, which includes technological
reports such as patent records, confidential information related to the competitors.
TPS (Transaction Processing System)
A transaction processing system can be explained as a type of information system that
allows the companies into recording the transactions associated with their business. This system

is used by different organizations for the purpose of recording both the internal and the external
transactions related to the company (Little, and Shrivastava, 2022). Basically the TPS is used by
the operational managers and it is also developed in order to assist them in their routine work. It
has been observed that there are 6 mix steps taken by the system in order to process a
transaction. These steps include entering the data, then validating or authenticating the same,
then taking a step forward in order to revalidate the data entered, check for storage, create the
output and lastly support the query. The major examples of a transaction processing system
involve employee record keeping, sales order entry and many more.
MIS (Management Information System
A system software that allows the companies to organize the information systematically
and present the same to the management in order to assist them in making informed and better
decisions in the company. This is recognised as the management information system. The
information that is used as the input in the MIS is gathered from different departments of a
company (Tummers, Kassahun, and Tekinerdogan, 2019). But, it is difficult to state the exact
structure of a MIS. This is because, the MIS is differently used by different companies because
the goals, targets and objects of the companies vary according to their needs and convenience.
Therefore, it can be stated that MIS can be moulded according to the needs and wants of the
management of an organization. The Examples of the management information system include
payroll processing and invoicing.
KSM (Knowledge Management System)
Knowledge management system is IT system that stores and collects the knowledge to
improve understanding, collaboration and an alignment of the procedure. In general, this
technology helps the team to gather, analyse and share information across a business for the
customers (Pereira, Fernandes, Sempiterno and et.al., 2021). This system allows innovation to
grow within the organization and can provide the beneficial outcomes through the best practices
and can reduce the employee turnover in effective manner. Using and understanding the KMS, it
improves the organization agility and encourage for the better and faster decision-making
process. For example: Customer service knowledge bases.
